2 Welcome to the 2015 Miss Inner-Beauty America pageant hosted by PEARL Girls! We are excited to have you! Each pageant contestant is required to raise at least $200 in Fundraising dues in order to participate in the pageant. Fundraising dues help defray the cost of producing the pageant (i.e. prizes, awards, trophies, facility rental, staging, lighting, sound technicians, judge s expenses, etc.) The fundraising dues also contribute towards the college scholarships that are awarded at the pageant. Fundraising dues can be raised through a combination of collecting ads for the beautiful Pageant Keepsake ad book, obtaining Sash Outs, and soliciting Pageant Sponsorships. All Fundraising is due by June 1 st However, if you wish not to participate in fundraising, you may instead pay your $200 Fundraising dues by June 1 st as well. The purpose and principles of Miss Inner-Beauty America make it a program that friends, relatives, businesses, and community members can be proud to support. Or, ad pages can be purchased online. Record Keeping sheets page 15 &16 o Use these sheets to keep accurate records of your fundraising efforts. 3 2015 Fundraising Options 1. Online Fundraising: This year, we are so excited because we have partnered with 24 Fundraising so that each pageant contestant can have her own personal fundraising website! Your fundraising website will be a safe and secure way for friends and family to easily support you online. To set up your free fundraising website, please visit: then click on the Become a Fundraiser button on the right side of the page. 2. Don t like technology? Use paper: Fundraising can also be done by using the paper forms included in this packet, and then mailing the forms and payment to our office at PO Box Dallas, TX However, the preferred method of fundraising is to use the online option. There are (3) ways to fundraise: 1. Sash Outs Sash Outs are well wishes from friends and family. They are $10.00, and each Sash Out will be included in the beautiful pageant Keepsake Ad Book for your daughter to always remember. Sash Outs are a great way for co-workers, church members, and friends to support your daughter. 2. Ads Friends, Relatives, Business Owners, Church Contacts, and School Contacts can buy ads for the beautiful pageant Keepsake Ad Book which will be distributed at the pageant. The ads are available in various sizes, and range from $25.00-$ This is a great way for businesses to advertise their services, and it is also a great way for family members to include congratulatory messages, quotes, scriptures, poems, and other well-wishes in the keepsake book while featuring fabulous pictures of your daughter! ***PRIZE: The contestant who sells the most ads will win the title of Miss Cover Girl, receive a Ca$h Prize, additional trophy, and her picture will be featured on the cover of the 2015 Beautiful Pageant Keepsake Ad Book! 3. Sponsors Businesses; especially places where your family usually does business, are great contacts for Pageant Sponsorship. Businesses are often eager to return the support that you have shown through your regular purchases and business with them. There are several different levels of pageant sponsorship, and each level has various marketing benefits associated with it. Please refer businesses to our fundraising website: so that they can view the benefits of each sponsorship level, or businesses can download the Sponsorship Packet here: ***PRIZE: The contestant who has maximum participation in the pageant fundraisers will win the title of Miss Entrepreneur, a Ca$h Prize, and an additional trophy. 4 ***Fundraising PRIZES*** Your fundraising efforts DO NOT affect your scores during the Miss Inner-Beauty America Pageant. However, it does allow you to win additional prizes!!! Through a combination of Sash Outs, Ad Pages, and Sponsors, you could win these fabulous gifts. If your fundraising total is be awarded this gift from stage! $300 $400 $401 $550 Be entered into a raffle for a Laptop! *(1) Laptop will be awarded All gifts will be awarded from stage at the Pageant! You could also win additional titles! Manicure & Pedicure Gift Card Miss Cover Girl will be awarded to the contestant who obtains the most ads for the Keepsake Ad book. Her picture will be featured on the cover of the Ad Book, and she will also win a Ca$h Prize, and an additional trophy. Miss Entrepreneur will be awarded to the contestant with maximum participation in pageant fundraisers. She will receive a Ca$h Prize, and an additional trophy. 5 Create your own beautiful fundraising website! It s easy, free, and a great way to spread the word! **It only takes 2 minutes to set up** 1. Go to 2. Click on Online Ad Page & Sponsor Donations 3. On the right side of the page click Become a Fundraiser 4. Enter your information then it will send you a confirmation . Confirm your account by clicking on the link in your confirmation Complete your profile by entering your daughter s name and adding a picture of her. Then, add your name to the bottom of the letter that is already pre-filled for you. 6. Check the Make a General Donation box 7. Your personal fundraising page is ready to go! Now, you can share it on social media, and it out to friends and family. 8. Helpful tip- Your personal website link will be kind of long. To make it shorter, go to - copy and paste your link into the box on that site. Then, your link will be shorter so it s easier to text to friends and family from your phone. 6 Ad Book Space Information During the pageant weekend the Beautiful Pageant Keepsake Ad Book will be available for every pageant contestant, their friends, their relatives, judges, and all other attendees. The Ad book will include pictures of the pageant contestants, and plenty of space has been reserved for businesses to advertise their company, or for family members to send a well wish to the pageant contestants. The ad prices are as follows: $100 Full Page Ad $75 Half Page Ad $50 Quarter Page Ad $25 Business Card Size Ad $10 Sash Out - (1) line well-wish from Friends or Family. Ad Space information: Ads can be created by you, your relatives, or the business that is supporting you. Feel free to include pictures of the pageant contestants in the ads. The best way to sell ads is to refer them to your personal fundraising website. You can create your own fundraising website by following the directions on page 5 of this packet. If not purchasing online, Ad space can be purchased by using the letter and form on page 12 & 13 of this packet, and then the ad can be submitted via mail or to Pageant@Pearl-Girls.org. Check should be made payable to Miss Inner-Beauty America. All ads must be in a jpeg file, png, or Microsoft word format. 7 Pageant Sponsorship Information & Benefits Pageant Sponsors help defray the cost of producing the Miss Inner-Beauty America Pageant (i.e. prizes, awards, trophies, facility rental, staging, lighting, judge s expenses, etc.) The funds contributed from sponsors also contribute towards the college scholarships that are awarded at the pageant. Sponsorship presents an impressive marketing campaign for businesses, and sponsorship fees are taxdeductible as an advertising expense. Please download the Sponsorship Packet from our website so that you can view the various sponsorship levels and their benefits. The best way to gain Sponsors is to refer them to our fundraising website: (After you create your own fundraising page, Sponsors can also purchase Sponsorship packages on your website). You can also direct potential sponsors to the link listed above where they can download the Sponsorship Packet. If Sponsors use this paper Sponsorship packet, please ask them to put your name in the Referred By section on the Sponsor form so that you earn the fundraising credit.
