28 BCN Purchasing Big Changes Are A-Coming: Workday In October, NSHE will implement a new financial system, called Workday. Workday will replace eight individual archaic systems and piles of paper with a unified, real-time, state-wide system. Includes on-line purchasing and contract maintenance. BCN Purchasing will go from pushing paperwork from the IN box to the OUT box to analyzing data, conducting bids and RFPs, and providing service to our customers, both internal and vendors-suppliers

29 BCN Purchasing Big Changes Are A-Coming: Supplier Registration (SReg) In order to have one state-wide financial system, NSHE needed one state-wide supplier database This would replace eight separate data bases, one at each institution In order to accomplish this NSHE needs to have all our suppliers register again This time, one registration will apply across Nevada In order to make registration as painless as possible NSHE is implementing on-line supplier registration Suppliers will go on-line, fill in information, and then you re set!

30 BCN Purchasing Big Changes Are A-Coming: IonWave: Online Bidding This is the icing on the cake : good-bye to reading & filling out dozens of pages of bid documents, ensuring your bid arrives on time, some times having bids thrown out because of failure to initial correctly, and waiting weeks for results NSHE is implementing IonWave, the bidding system used by over a dozen agencies in Las Vegas and Washoe County IonWave will provide numerous benefits for suppliers: transparency, foolproof completion of forms, and access to state-wide opportunities This project was just given the green light to proceed, so we don t know all the details, but look for more info shortly
