1 SAN JOSE EVERGREEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT ADDENDUM NUMBER 01 TO THE BID DOCUMENTS To all general contract bidders of record on the Bid Proposal: BID NUMBER: SJCC Parking Garage LED Lighting Retrofit EVERGREEN VALLEY COLLEGE Addendum Date: February 10, 2017 A. This addendum shall be considered part of the bid documents for the above mentioned project as though it had been issued at the same time and shall be incorporated integrally therewith. Where provisions of the following supplementary data differ from those of the original bid documents, this Addendum shall govern and take precedence. B. Bidders are hereby notified that they shall make any necessary adjustments in their estimates as a result of this Addendum. It will be construed that each bidder s proposal is submitted with full knowledge of all modifications and supplemental data specified herein. Question: Does the District have a current vendor to program the BMS system for the lighting controls? B. Answer: The current vendor and programmer is: Bay Point Contols, Inc., phone: QUESTION 2: A. Question: Are the Type B emergency ballast fixtures located where they already have a hot and a switch leg? B. Answer: Yes, switch leg is controlled by existing control panel. Program the Type B fixtures to be ON 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. 4.3 QUESTION 3: A. Question: In the fixture schedule the Type C fixture part number doesn t include motion or photocell options but the description does. Please clarify. B. Answer: The part number for the Type C fixture will be corrected to be shown with motion and photocell option (New Part #106L-16L-530-NW-G1-2-UNV-PCB-IMRI3-MGY). 4.4 QUESTION 4: A. Question: Please provide a list of accepted or contractors that worked on programing Jonson Control panels. B. Answer: Accepted programmer for the Johnson Controls is Bay Point Controls, Inc., Phone: /10/2017 ADDENDUM NUMBER 1

3 SJECCD Energy Efficiency-Clean Energy Year QUESTION 5: A. Question: Looks to be that 4th floor wall pack lights were not included in the plans sheet are they part of this project? B. Answer: Replacement of the wall packs on the fourth floor is not part of this project. 4.6 QUESTION 6: A. Question: Every light is individually controlled by Photo/Motions sensor. Eliminating control panel and Jonson controller connection by supplying constant power to each Light that is controlled by motion/photocell will achieve same result. Will district consider this option? B. Answer: This option is not acceptable. The district wants to control all of the lighting via the BMS (Johnson) controller. 4.7 QUESTION 7: A. Question: The light that are to stay constantly on. Will built in Photo/Motion sensor be factory programed to that parameter? Or it will have to be field modified? B. Answer: Contractor responsible for ensuring the lights that will be ON 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, shall be dimmed down to a 50% light level when the area is vacated. Motion sensors light level dimming to be programmed in the field with a Remote Programming Tool (Philips FS1R-100), or at factory. Contractor to order tool as an accessory from the fixture manufacturer, and after project completion, turn over to district. END OF ADDENDUM NUMBER 1 2/10/2017 ADDENDUM NUMBER 1
