4 AET Project No Page 3 of 6 SECTION 2 Summary of Actions Required For This Demolition Review Bridge Drawings: As-built drawings were reviewed to identify suspect asbestos containing materials and other regulated materials. Asbestos Summary: No asbestos containing materials were found. See the attached documents in Section 3 for the detailed sample locations, amounts, conditions and summary inventory of all suspect materials. The following material was sampled and submitted for analysis: Concrete surface texture Regulated Waste Summary: The following regulated waste materials were noted on the bridge. See the attached documents in Section 3 for the detailed inventory of all regulated wastes. This waste is required to be removed before demolition. Lead: Approximately 2400 sq. ft. of lead-based paint was identified as peeling from the steel support beams under the deck. Mercury: no suspect mercury containing materials were noted. PCBs : No PCB containing materials were noted. Treated Wood: The approach guard rail support posts are constructed of treated timbers. We estimate the following quantities of green treated wood: Guard rail support posts: 42 posts at about 6 in length each = 252 linear feet

7 AET Project No Page 6 of 6 SECTION 4 Limitations and Closure Limitations: The information in this report is deemed reliable but does not guarantee that all ACM has been located or identified. Some reasons for this are: For each suspected ACM, sampling was performed randomly and the material was assumed to be homogeneous. The possibility exists that material composition may be different at locations other than from where the samples were collected. Unless specifically noted, our findings and the areas we selected to be sampled were based on visual observations. Materials and conditions, which are concealed or inaccessible, may not have been discovered. Closure: The services performed by American Engineering Testing, Inc. for this project have been conducted in a manner consistent with that level of skill and care ordinarily exercised by other members of the profession currently practicing in this area, under similar budgetary and time constraints. If conditions differing from our original findings are found, AET should be immediately contacted to review these conditions and determine if there are any material impacts on any of our findings.
