2 Purpose of the position: The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the sound management of the project field operations ensuring timeliness and efficiency in planning, delivery, distribution, documentation and reporting of relief food commodities. The incumbent will also be responsible for the supervision and coordination of food monitors work plans and represent World Vision in field level meetings and forums and help to develop relationships with government officials, project partners and donors. All these must be done while meeting the WV and USAID/FFP commodity management standards. Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others. Major Responsibilities: Key Outputs/Responsibilities (Accountabilities and results) General commodity management and accountability Develop and coordinate field level operations to ensure adequate and efficient service provision to project beneficiaries. Ensure that all commodities dispatched to FDPs are properly managed, distributed and accounted for. Ensure proper documentation at FDP level and sharing of all the appropriate commodity documents with field staff and Relief Committees, and that the project implementation strictly follows the approved plan. Ensure that commodities are received at the intended destinations, and all standards are met in the process.

3 Spot-check community stores (where applicable) and ensure they meet minimum commodity and warehousing requirements. Review the Field Monitors work and reviewing distribution reports to ensure numerical accuracy to reflect the work done. These include monthly distribution plans, beneficiary lists, distribution center visit reports, and distribution reports etc. In consultation with the Project Manager, coordinate the training and capacity building of FDP committees to ensure sound commodity management and accountability systems are in place as well as CBTD/FFA principles. Randomly visit at least 20% of FDPs distribution each month and prepare a report on each one of them to inform management action towards meeting set commodity management standards. Frequently brief and consult with the Project Manager to mitigate any risks associated with the project implementation. Human Resource Management and training Responsible for performance management of the Field Monitors; Organize and supervise the development and execution of Field Monitors work plans and schedules. Organize regular weekly staff meeting and discuss weekly work plans. In consultation with the Project Manager, ensure proper training and initiation of capacity building activities for Field Monitors including training on commodity reporting and documentation. Documentation Ensure all FM prepare their weekly/monthly reports for submission to the LMMS/CTS Officer and Project Manager on a timely basis. Ensure all commodity accounting documents (Beneficiary list, Beneficiary Summary Sheet, DCVR, TIR, PI sheets, waybills, Monthly distribution reports etc) are properly filled in, checked

4 for accuracy, signed and submitted to the LMMS/CTS office. Carry out any duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor. Attend and participate in daily and weekly chapel and devotional meetings. Networking & Representation Ensure that WV adequately engages with the local leadership structure, and that project information and all advocacy issues are communicated as necessary. Network and represent WV in the field. Train communities leaders and beneficiaries including the RCs on CBTD principles and implementation of selected projects Support the Cash Transfer Technical specialist to roll out new initiatives within the community Other Competencies/Attributes: Good communication and mobilization skills Able to stand above denominational diversities. Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or onthe-job training:

5 Undergraduate Degree in Development Studies, Community Development, International Relations, Rural Development, or other relevant discipline with at least 2 years field level experience working with local or international NGOs in commodity management or livelihoods/food security projects at a similar level is required. OR a Diploma or Associate degree in development studies, international relations, rural development, or other relevant discipline with at least 3 years field level experience working with local or international NGOs in commodity management or livelihoods/food security projects at a similar level will be considered. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Strong mathematical/analytical skills. Good understanding of World Vision and CHS. Knowledge of and adherence of the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct. Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview emotional maturity and physical stamina. Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment. Ability to build strong relationships with local communities, partners and government authorities. Good English and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to maintain performance expectation in diverse cultural context, psychologically stressful environment and physical hardship conditions with limited resources
