2 PURPOSE The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship based at UCT's GSB is looking for a Project Coordinator to coordinate a sub-set of its active projects. The purpose of the role is to ensure excellent coordination and delivery of outputs in each of the projects he or she is asked to operate within. The position of project co-ordinator will be funded through committed funds. The Bertha Centre was established in 2011 as a centre for social innovation within the Graduate School of Business. In addition to contributing a substantial part to the teaching curriculum the Centre focuses its resources on research and practical application in a number of sectors including innovative finance, education, health and social franchising. Its mission is to discover, pioneer, connect, and advance innovators and entrepreneurs who advance social justice and generate opportunities in Africa. The job content outlined below uses the Centre s core activities (i.e., uncover, pioneer, connect, and advance) to describe priority deliverables and competency areas for the role in question. 17 July 2014 Page 2 of 6 HR191
