1 JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: SENIOR PARTNERSHIP MARKETING MANAGER EUROPE & AFRICA DEPARTMENT: PARTNERSHIPS - EMEA REPORTS TO: HEAD OF PARTNERSHIP MARKETING - EMEA LOCATION: LONDON / MANCHESTER DATE: OCTOBER 2017 (ASAP) Job purpose Working closely with the Head of Partnership Marketing, the Senior Partnership Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and maximising City Football Marketing s (CFM) growing portfolio of partners across Europe and Africa. This remit includes all associated partnership planning and activation programmes. In doing so the Senior Partnership Marketing Manager will be required to lead a local team and maximise performance at all levels. Key responsibilities Acquisition - Works collaboratively with Head of Partnership Sales, Senior Sales Managers and Planning Departments to help shape compelling partnership proposals for prospects. Generates a deep understanding of their respective business and categories in doing so and proactively shares experience and knowledge across the team - Assumes responsibility for reaching annual revenue and commercial growth targets - Attends meetings and pitches as required, to offer insight and expertise and to ensure partners have a point of continuity throughout their relationship with the Club/Group - Supports the deal sheet and contracting processes by reviewing, amending and approving paperwork at agreed stages (as defined with Operations team) Planning - Takes leadership/responsibility for embedding a consistent framework that covers the onboarding of partners and the development of partnership strategies and activation plans

2 - Immerses himself/herself in the world of the partners, building a rich appreciation of their environments and a detailed understanding of objectives, opportunities and challenges - Drives the planning approach with top-tier partners, assuming ownership of workshops and providing clear direction to marketing/leadership teams. Fuels this process with insight and expertise and involves other Club departments as appropriate. Directs and supports the team on other tier partners as required - Actively involves senior stakeholders in the planning process and builds powerful, personal relationships that can be leveraged to drive further growth - Proactively contributes to the evolution of the planning framework, ensuring that CFG s approach stands out from competing clubs and is truly fit-for-purpose in the region - Instils in the team an objectives and measurement-focused mind-set, enabling us to build a full and true picture around the impact of each and every partnership Brand - Engages and educates both the team and partners on the CFG/MCFC brand vision and positioning, as well as the current marketing strategy and priorities - Explores area with top-tier partners where the respective outlooks (Club and Partner) share commonality. Assess opportunities to collaborate and maximise the return for both businesses. Directs and supports the team on other-tier partners as required - Enhances and protects the CFG/MCFC brand throughout the term of the partnership by using the Club strategy to fuel the planning process and remain integral to all activations Delivery - Work with the Partnership Operations team and other internal teams to ensure all contractual assets and campaign activations are delivered to a best-in-class standard and maximum efficiency. Up-sells - Develops a 12-month plan (in conjunction with Senior Sales Manager) at the start of each season to ensure conversations happen in the right places at the right times - Proactively develops ideas and drafts proposals for top-tier partners that demonstrate a clear benefit to both Partner and Club. Escalates as appropriate - Drives discussions with senior contacts at key partners and up-skills team members to the point where they have capacity and empowerment to drive organic revenue growth Case Studies - Engages Partners and works with them to co-create rich stories that demonstrate the power of association, with a clear thread throughout (linking objectives to tangible results)

3 - Delivers to a consistent standard across the portfolio and brings about a genuine step-change in how case studies are crafted and communicated on-going - Realises a healthy balance of consistency vs. flexibility and in doing so gives team members responsibility and autonomy for how stories are captured - Reports upwardly on a monthly basis, as agreed with Head of Partnership Marketing - Explores opportunities for awards submissions and other recognition/accreditation Renewals - Develops a renewal strategy (in conjunction with Senior Sales Managers) at the start of each season to ensure conversations happen in the right places at the right times - Drives discussions with senior contacts at key partners and up-skills team members to the point where they have the capability to drive organic revenue growth - Shares/escalates reports and recommendations to aid the decision-making process Key relationships Internal - VP, Director of Partnerships, EMEA speciality projects and high-level counsel - Head of Partnership Marketing, EMEA performance and personal development - Senior Partnership Marketing Manager, Europe & Africa counterpart at same level - Partnership Marketing Managers leadership, line-management and progression - Senior Partner Sales Managers new partner acquisition and proposals - Head of Planning & Ideation - new partner acquisition and proposals - Business Intelligence Managers knowledge updates and insight - Head of Operations and Operations Managers asset coordination and delivery - Other Club departments as required External - Senior partner stakeholders (CMO, Marketing/Sponsorship Directors etc ) - Senior agency stakeholders (Account/Planning Directors etc ) - Sponsorship research partners/providers and other suppliers where relevant Scope of job - Line Management of two direct report initially (Manager level), though recognition that this may increase in line with partner numbers and workload demands - Travels within the region as required to attend key meetings (internal and external) - Protects and enhances the reputation of MCFC and CFM at all times - Complies with MCFC and CFM policies, including health and safety procedures - Undertakes such other duties as may be reasonably expected

General skills and attributes: more general characteristics e.g. flexibility, communication skills, team working etc - Essential Strong team ethic and collaborative nature - Confident managing multiple senior stakeholders and building relationships at all levels - Advanced leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams - Flexible working attitude within a dynamic Club environment Desirable Experience: proven record of experience in a particular field, profession or specialism.
