To provide strong operational leadership and build the team to perform to an optimum level and provide outstanding client service to Sydney Water managers and staff. 3 Section 2: Key accountabilities and outcomes/tasks Leadership expectations Be an active and engaged member of the MFBC management team and contribute to the implementation of Sydney Water s vision and strategy, and the delivery of business value to Sydney Water and its stakeholders. Lead service operations to ensure MFBC meets client service, financial, contractual, and regulatory requirements and targets. Engage staff to understand the corporate strategy and direction, and role model Sydney Water values and behaviours to create a positive and productive working environment. Engage staff by inspiring, collaborating, coaching and developing. Be aware of personal impact, effectiveness and ability to influence others. Drive achievement through the fostering of innovation and seeing things through to a successful conclusion. Work collaboratively with the management team to create career progression for staff, and development opportunities for staff that lead to a multi-skilled, flexible workforce for the MFBC. Champion change and enable staff to deal with major change in their work area and across the business they support. Technical accountabilities Manage the implementation of the operating model and delivery framework for MFBC Operations, ensuring minimal disruption to services to clients while embedding the new ways of working. Manage the provision of reliable, cost-efficient and high quality transactional and operational services in the MFBC across a range of functions, identifying and driving opportunities to create more tightly integrated multi-functional teams. Lead an integrated resource management approach between operations teams in order to drive multiskilling, load-balancing and resource sharing between teams, as well as to create career progression and development opportunities for staff. Oversee the provision of quality and efficient procurement services to fulfil procurement requests and tasks effectively, and achieve client experience and business outcomes. Oversee the provision of accurate, timely and efficient processing of accounting transactions, and the preparation of account reconciliations and work papers required for the preparation of the annual audited Financial Statements and monthly management reports. Oversee the accurate, timely and efficient processing and payment of remuneration and benefits to staff and the processing of accounts payable transactions. Oversee provision of quality and efficient administration services to Sydney Water senior managers and fulfil administration requests and tasks. Oversee the provision of quality and efficient business support services to Customer Delivery division to meet business requirements. Oversee the provision of quality and efficient people services to Sydney Water divisions and fulfil people services requests including the provision of wrap-services such as onboarding, exiting and organisational restructures. Lead operations teams to achieve high levels of service excellence, improve ease of access for clients and deliver a timely and reliable service. Manage the day-today relationship with MFBC clients and external service providers. Pro-actively seek on-going improvements and efficiencies in all activities, focusing on reducing costs. Lead the implementation of new services, managing services go-live and stabilising new services. Lead initiatives to implement changes to existing services to respond to changing requirements of the business and capitalize on opportunities to do things more effectively. Monitor service performance and work closely with Team Managers to address issues and improve overall quality and cost-efficiency of services Ensure the achievement against key performance indicators of each team within Operations [JobTitle] Page 3 of 7

Skills Strong expertise in shared services transactional and operational services across the areas of finance, procurement, payroll, accounts payable, human resources and business administration. Advanced strategic stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and change and drive business improvement with measurable results Excellent leadership and management skills in multi-functional, adaptive and flexible working environments Demonstrated experience in successfully resolving complex issues arising from conflicting priorities and agendas involving diverse stakeholder groups. Experience A minimum of 10 years experience in any of the following: finance, procurement, human resources, payroll, accounts payable, of which 3+ years experience was in a management role in a shared services environment.
