1 ROLE DESCRIPTION ICT Manager Permanent, Full-Time Commencing immediately To be a Christ-centred learning community, pursuing excellence in education with every individual known and loved. The position reports to the Administrator and is supervised by the Bursar. The successful applicant will be a Christian person who is actively involved in church, suitably qualified and experienced and who is willing to support and promote the Christian mission of the School. Role Overview This role entails overall responsibility for all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services and infrastructure at Inaburra School. The ICT Manager works with the ICT Steering Committee to ensure that ICT strategic objectives are set and met in accordance with the overall strategic plan of the School, as well as ensuring the day-to-day operations of ICT meet the School s strategic and operational needs and requirements. Key Responsibilities Support, maintain and upgrade the School s ICT infrastructure, including wired and wireless network infrastructure, on premise server and storage hardware, applications, network security, enterprise voice services, printers and scanners, and end user devices such as laptops, ipads and desktop computers. Work with the Property Manager to support and optimise the School s physical security system, fire warning and evacuation systems, PA systems and Building Management Systems. Lead and manage the ICT Support Team to deliver excellent technology support to the school via helpdesk services, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure and application support. Assist the Bursar in developing professional goals and conducting reviews of ICT Support staff. Lead and develop a friendly, customer service focussed attitude towards all stakeholders, including teaching and support staff, students, parents and caregivers. Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors and other third party organisations to ensure delivery of quality products and services to the School, including
2 Role Description ICT Manager Page 2 cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) providers, device procurement and ongoing product support. Write and review relevant policy and procedure documentation and ensure compliance with such documentation to effectively protect the School s data and manage risk. Maintain internal ICT documentation including standard operating procedures and configuration records. Ensure appropriate backup procedures are written and adhered to providing effective protection from data loss. Keep up-to-date with the latest ICT security threats and trends and ensure reasonable precautions are taken to protect the School and mitigate data theft, data loss, and service downtime, including the development of policies and procedures, deployment of security software and hardware, and maintenance of access control lists (ACLs) and password policies. Work with the ICT Steering Committee to set appropriate strategic objectives for ICT development. Understand and respond to ongoing trends and developments of ICT within an educational context and give informed advice to executive and school leaders in nontechnical terms. Consult with departments and work units within the School to understand their business and educational requirements and utilise ICT to support, enhance and streamline work and teaching practices. Prepare the annual ICT budget in consultation with the Administrator/Company Secretary, and meet ICT goals within approved budget. Effectively manage the implementation of projects to minimise downtime and keep projects on task, on time and on budget. Essential Criteria: Sound Christian commitment and understanding of the Christian context of the school. Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science or similar Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate and drive organisational change. Proven ability to understand the global requirements of an organisation and utilise ICT to service those needs. Strong project management skills and experience implementing cross-functional projects. Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in a K-12 school environment.
