Summary of the role The Academic Quality Unit is responsible for developing and managing the quality assurance and enhancement processes, including programme validation, periodic review and re-validation, annual monitoring and programme amendment. The team is also responsible for maintaining the Academic nfrastructure, liaison with partners and Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) and internal and external quality audit. Under the leadership of the Head of Quality and Enhancement you will be responsible for managing the key quality assurance events for our further education and apprenticeships programmes, including ensuring that the quality processes and guidance documentation relating to the apprenticeship programmes, are reviewed and updated regularly. You will be responsible for the registration and annual reporting for our programmes, in line with the reporting requirements of international regulatory bodies, such as the Non-Local Courses Registry in Hong Kong. Duties and responsibilities Schedule, review and maintain the UCEM Quality Framework for Awards at Level 3. Assist with the maintenance of our further education academic infrastructure, including undertaking audits and reviewing and drafting policies, procedures and guidance documents. Monitor the requirements of relevant PSRBs (including Ofsted and Skills Funding Agency) in relation to our apprenticeship provision, to ensure that the provision is compliant and enhanced through the incorporation of good practice. 2 Provide guidance to the Academic Team and Student Services department with regard to the preparation of reports and documentation required for Ofsted. Manage, arrange and coordinate Ofsted inspection visits. Provide administrative management of the annual self-assessment reporting (SAR) and enhancement process relating to our apprenticeship provision. Ensure that we remain compliant with the requirements of any organisations we are in partnership with to deliver apprenticeship programmes. Manage the process for the completion of the annual returns to the Non-Local Courses Registry in Hong Kong for all registered UCEM programmes, and complete registration forms for any newly validated programmes. Ensure that the reporting requirements for the Student Finance Office and Non-Local Courses Registry in Hong Kong are complied with. Ensure that we are compliant with the reporting requirements of any other international professional statutory and regulatory bodies. Work with the Head of Quality and Enhancement in disseminating key quality issues across our nstitution. Assist in ensuring that the team s SharePoint area is kept up to date. Act as secretary to deliberative subcommittees and ad hoc working groups as required. Project work Assist with the preparation of documents for a range of QA related projects. This training will be both face-to-face and online. Any prior training in these areas is helpful, however it will not make you exempt from undertaking training with us. BENEFTS Actual salary range 16,200 to 18,000 per annum ( 27,000 to 30,000 Full Time Equivalent). 24 days paid holiday (rising with service to 27) plus paid bank / public holidays and up to 5 paid closure days; all per holiday year.
