1 Institute of Food Technology Expo 2017 Team Texas Plans for the IFT17 Conference & Exposition Team Texas will be partnering with The High Ground of Texas in a TEXAS Booth as an exhibitor at the upcoming IFT17 Conference & Expo to be held in Las Vegas June 26-28, This is a trade event that focuses on the opportunity to make contact with professionals in the food industry who are involved in R&D, product development, QA/QC, purchasing, executive management, distribution and more. It s the only place where the latest global food trends and the products that address them-are on display. More than 20,000 food professionals from more than 80 countries around the world are in attendance. BOTH the attendees and the other exhibitors are high level targets of Team Texas at this marketing event. Aggressive pre-event marketing will drive people to the booth and allow us to blitz the expo floor/meet other exhibitors as well. All aspects of the food industry is a target to many Texas communities including production, ingredients, packaging, distribution and R&D.

2 Dates Conference June 25-28, 2017 Exposition June 26-28, Conference Location The Sands Expo Center 201 Sands Ave Las Vegas, NV Exhibition We will be hosting a 10 x20 TEXAS booth space on the exhibit floor. We sacrificed some booth space for an optimum location with high visibility. It is a strong marketing strategy at this expo to aggressively work the floor. Our booth space will allow for a promotional area, where we will have marketing materials, contact scanners, etc. This space will also include brochure stands, partner maps, stools and two counters. A large TEXAS backdrop will serve as the foundation of the booth. This is a very short event, with very limited exhibit hours. All Team Texas & High Ground of Texas team members will be collectively scheduled for time in the booth on Sunday through Tuesday (if your schedule allows) and each team member will also be paired with someone to work an assigned part of the exhibit floor. Dynamic materials will be provided to enhance our floor strategy. Team Attire Attire for the trade show is either Team Texas or High Ground of Texas shirts/tops with BLACK pants, shorts or skirts. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are a member of both organizations, you may wear either logo. You may order Team Texas attire from our Lands End store or I m happy to provide you our logo so that you can utilize your own local embroidery company. It is the policy of both Team Texas and the High Ground not to dictate the type, color or style of top you wear, however, you must not alter the Team Texas or High Ground brand in any way. You are welcome to order a button down dress shirt, sweater, jacket, vest, polo, etc. You can get any color and patterns you like. You may also utilize the logo in any color, however, as mentioned before, you cannot alter the logo in any way. On the Land s End Team Texas store, you have two choices for a logo one has a background, and one does not. Either option is fine. ALL Team Texas members are required to wear Team Texas or High Ground attire while working in the booth or working your assigned section of the expo floor. Hotel Reservations Because of the availability and diversity of hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, Team Texas did not block rooms in any one hotel for the team. Las Vegas is a city where most people utilize their own preference for hotels. If you are interested in utilizing the IFT Room Block, please register to be on the Team Texas or High Ground team and we will get you registered for the show. Once you are registered as an exhibitor, you can access their reservation system. However, please note that the rates are high and there are many other options in proximity to the Sands Expo Center. If you have not registered with us yet, please go online to our site and register to participate with Team Texas. If you are attending with the High Ground of Texas and are not a member of Team Texas, please contact Kevin Carter directly to register. This allows you to be a part of our booth activities, any pre-set appointments, provide your own marketing materials and most importantly, receive the comprehensive list of contacts after the event. You can choose to be a sponsor (added benefits) for $3,000 or a participant ($1,500). The benefits for both options are lined out below. IMPORTANT: If you are utilizing a marketing package for this event, please place the word SPONSOR or PARTICIPANT in the promo code upon checkout and this will get you registered with a 0 balance invoice. 2. Once you are registered with Team Texas or High Ground, I will secure your exhibitor badge for you. If you have any guests, spouses, local companies etc. who are attending the show, please let me know and I m happy to secure them a badge as well. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER DIRECTLY WITH IFT. I will take care of getting all exhibitor badges. Benefits of attending with Team Texas or The High Ground of Texas Each Team Texas/High Ground Sponsorship ($3,000) will receive the following benefits: Each sponsor will be listed on the special invitation for a hospitality event in the booth during the expo. This invitation will be sent out to registrants in advance, promoted through Team Texas and IFT Social Media and used to work the floor. One slot in our brochure stand (provided by Team Texas) that will hold up to an 8 ½ x11 size of your community or organization s marketing materials. Your city/organization s logo and contact information will be placed on a special IFT17 graphic on the Team Texas website. You have the opportunity to provide promotional giveaways in the booth. You will be listed on the TEXAS IFT17 Partner Map, which will be utilized in pre-show, at-show and post-show marketing. You have the opportunity to provide a video from your city/organization to be looped into the video presentation played throughout the event in the Team Texas Booth. Sponsors will receive extra logo branding on the booth signage. You have the opportunity to participate in pre-set appointments arranged by Team Texas. All participants of these meetings will be promoting the entire team, not your individual communities. You will receive a comprehensive list of all contacts generated at the expo by the team.

4 Each Team Texas/High Ground Participant ($1,500) will receive the following benefits: 4 One (1) slots in our brochure stand (provided by Team Texas) that will hold up to an 8 ½ x11 size of your community or organization s marketing materials. Your city/organization s contact information will be placed on a special IFT17 webpage on the Team Texas website. You have the opportunity to provide promotional giveaways in the booth. You will be listed on the TEXAS IFT17 Partner Map, which will be utilized in pre-show, at-show and post-show marketing. You have the opportunity to participate in pre-set appointments arranged by Team Texas. All participants of these meetings will be promoting the entire team, not your individual communities. You will receive a comprehensive list of all contacts generated at the expo by the team. Promotional Items: If you are providing brochures and giveaways for the booth, you may bring them with you, send them to your hotel or ship directly to the booth. If you send directly to the booth, you may be charged a drayage charge after the show (Las Vegas is a union town). Any organization s materials left in the booth at the end of the Expo are the responsibility of each Team Texas member. Since this is a food show, you are welcome to provide food products, however, all giveaways MUST be packaged in individual packaging. Nuts, candy, beef jerky, spices, ingredients, sauces, drinks, etc. are great giveaways for this show. Please make sure that your giveaways are appropriately branded with YOUR logos to get maximum exposure. All giveaways will be combined with the other members, giving our guests a great selection of items when they visit the booth. Please make sure anything that is shipped arrives by Friday, June 23, 2017 and send me the tracking number so can I can secure it upon my arrival. Important Deadlines and Items needed: All Team Texas members and High Ground members joining us at IFT17 as a sponsor or a participant MUST be registered on the website or with Kevin Carter by Friday, June 2, 2017 at 5:00 pm. ALL team members must register, even if you have a marketing package or if more than one person is attending with one city/organization. This is the list that will be used to obtain your exhibitor badge and keep you updated on the expo news. Please send your logo to lorie@goteamtexas.com by Friday, June 2, 2017 at 5:00 pm. Please send your cell phone numbers, hotel and travel plans by Friday, June 9, This will allow us to compile the travel information and send it back out in the event that opportunities for shared cabs, common hotels, dinners etc. among our team members exist. Social Media promotion of all sponsors and participants will begin on Monday, June 9, Banners, Maps, and other marketing materials listing all sponsors and participants will be ordered on Tuesday, June 6, Please do not miss the deadline to be included in our great marketing materials for IFT17. We will hold three mandatory Trade Show Training Webinars in June, prior to the show. The dates and times are to be announced. Please make every effort to participate in one of these webinars as they are required for each participant who will be attending SelectUSA, IFT, WESTEC or other future industry/trade marketing events. This webinar will explain our logistics, expectations, obligations, policies, marketing strategies, responsibilities and desired outcome of each industry/trade event. This webinar will be now be required of all Team Texas members prior to participation in a Team Texas event and it is only necessary to participate in the webinar one time to fulfill your commitment. We will have a final Team Information Call regarding IFT17 on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:00 am. Please mark your calendars for this phone call. A pre-event Team Letter will be provided the week of the event that will detail all schedules, appointments, assignments, etc.

5 5 A template will be sent to you to complete for our meeting packets. Please complete the template with your organization s information and return it back to Team Texas by Friday, June 9, If we already have a template from your city or organization from a previous event, you will be given the opportunity to update or make edits. We have a new template that coordinates with our marketing theme for Kevin Carter will coordinate the templates for the High Ground members. If you are a member of both organizations, this will be reflected on the template. The request for your information will be sent in a separate upon receipt of your registration with Team Texas. Please send any time(s) during the Expo that you would be UNAVAILABLE to work in the booth before Friday, June 9, The final work schedule will be sent out on Friday, June 16, All sponsors & participants must be a member in good standing of Team Texas or the High Ground of Texas in order to participate in this event.
