Business Analyst - Procurement Location: Based in Colombo with travel JOB PROFILE Reporting to the Manager Strategic Sourcing the position is responsible for the generation of timely and accurate information & business reports enabling accurate Procurement Planning, Spend Forecast & Tracking, Savings Tracking and Compliance Monitoring for the effective delivery and execution of the sourcing process on all requisitions for goods, works and services in alignment with World Vision Procurement Policies & budgetary requirements. He/she will have experience working in a web-based procurement/sourcing environment and will research and evaluate procurement requirements based on price, service, quality and warranty and other
2 applicable criteria enabling the provision of effective sourcing & procurement services to WVL and its programs. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES % Time Major Activities End Results Expected 30% Lead development and coordinate the Consolidation of Procurement Plans for all buying Zones across grants and all functional departments; Monitor quarterly, annual cross functional procurement plan reviews; Annual updating of Commodity Catalogue Ensure Annual Procurement Plans are developed, implemented and monitored 30% Create monthly quality and delivery metrics and reports for Management to support in Procurement Planning, Spend Forecasting and Savings Tracking, and Compliance Monitoring Provide historical spend, utilization and compliance data to strategic sourcing initiatives, as needed; Create monthly quality and delivery metrics and reports for suppliers to ensure they meet agreed upon standards;
3 Assist with proposal analysis, business case development and executive summary presentations; Ensure monitoring and reporting of supplier performance; Ensure generating reports against defined procurement Key Performance Indicators; Participate in issue resolution, prepare issue reports and escalate issues early and appropriately Generate accurate and analytical Business Reports to support Planning and Strategies 15% Create Adhoc Reports as required by Management to support in decision making or any other deemed need Coordinate with other functions to support report generation Contract Management Coordinating Process / Procedure development process Generated Adhoc Reports as needed to aid Management in decision making & assist the Sourcing Team to achieve their target effectively & efficiently 15% Coordinate with WV Regional Shared Service Centre for routine business requirements in reporting
4 Maintain strategic relationship with regional stakeholders of World Vision 5% Demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to World Visions Core Values in the approach to work and relationships; Work and Life balance Current career plan that is consistent with World Visions strategic goal Professional and Personal Development QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline Minimum 03 yearsexperience in data management, analysis, business process development, reportingetc Advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook, Lotus Notes, and Excel, Database Systems, Web based Systems A problem solver with the ability to gather & interpret data and analyze and document complex business processes Experience in purchasing a variety of general and specialized items, shipping and receiving, and basic accounting with a solid mathematical aptitude Familiar with modern purchasing methods, procedures, and specifications preparation; methods and techniques utilized in analyzing the quality of services, supplies, and
