1 UEA CAREERS SERVICE Marketing Co-ordinator Ref: SC3244 The Post The UEA Careers Service is looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced marketing individual to be responsible for the development and delivery of marketing all aspects of the Careers Service. The post holder will provide effective, high quality support, and will have a track record of developing and delivering marketing and communication solutions to a range of stakeholders. Job Description A job description is attached as Appendix A. The precise duties will be agreed in discussion with the Manager. Person Specification The person specification for this post is attached as Appendix B. GENERAL Salary Salary will be 25,728 to 31,604 per annum on Grade 6 on the single salary spine. The normal expectation is that starting salary will be at the minimum of the advertised salary scale. Starting Date The post is available immediately on a full-time, indefinite basis. Terms and Conditions of Appointment Full details of terms and conditions of employment for Secretarial & Clerical staff

2 will be made available to the candidate to whom the appointment is offered. Annual Leave Entitlement There is an annual holiday entitlement of 25 days for Grade 6 plus statutory (8 days) and customary (6 days) holidays. Superannuation The post is superannuable under the Universities Superannuation Scheme. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Marketing Co-ordinator Grade: 6 Service: Reporting to: Careers Service Marketing and Events Officer Purpose of Role The post holder will support the Marketing & Events Officer in the development and delivery of the University s Careers Service to students, graduates, academic staff, employers and other stakeholders. The role will involve the creation and delivery of targeted online and offline marketing campaigns including the design and production of collateral, writing copy and developing materials to increase relevance and appeal amongst the student population. The role will involve working alongside a team of Events and Marketing professionals, as well as other Careers staff to help deliver top quality events, campaigns and services Main Duties and Responsibilities To support the development and delivery of marketing activities promoting Careers Services to key stakeholder groups: students, academics and employers To work with the events team and event commissioners to create relevant and appealing branding, and to create and manage strategic and targeted marketing campaigns and communication plans for individual events and overall brand awareness campaigns for the department

5 To develop print materials via Adobe suite: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop e.g. brochures, posters and flyers Responsible for writing, editing and proof-reading promotional copy for all media in a style engaging with and appropriate to key stakeholder groups To support the Marketing & Events Officer in developing the online identity of the Careers Service, producing content where necessary and liaising with Careers staff to ensure that careers information is attractive and within brand Create and manage the production and distribution of digital communications, working with the Marketing & Events Officer and the University s Digital Marketing team Support the Marketing & Events Officer to plan and execute marketing campaigns, particularly to target specific cohorts of students who under-engage with our services, based on intelligence gained from CareerHub careers system Support the development and delivery of the Careers Service social media strategy Support the Marketing & Events Officer in developing a consistent strategy for marketing Careers Service to employers and other external audiences, working with Marketing Managers in Research and Innovation Services To prepare presentation materials typically using MS Power Point, Prezi and other multimedia To work with external agencies and print suppliers writing an agreed brief for promotional campaigns To generate a suite of case study materials illustrating successful graduate careers To ensure that Careers Service premises maintain a look and feel consistent with online media and campaigns To research competitor campaigns within HE institutions and create benchmarking data and analysis to inform strategy and future campaigns Support the Marketing & Events Officer in coordinating the marketing / promotional activities of careers ambassadors and other student helpers working in collaboration with other Careers staff. Organising focus groups and other activities to gain insight into student awareness and understanding To manage and operate within the limitations of the marketing budget Support the Marketing & Events Officer in working with the Press team to gain the best media coverage, gathering key information and preparing content for newsletters and press releases To work with the Publications team to ensure key messages and copy are included in the Prospectus, School brochures, annual reports, graduation materials etc. To undertake additional duties as required by the line manager GENERAL INFORMATION All role holders are expected to undertake such other appropriate duties as may be requested.
