4 Supplying, laying and linking of Permanent way (BG) on straight / curve with 52/ 60 Kgs Nos PSC Sleepers per KM duly welded in to 3 rail panels by Alumino Thermic Welding with Short Pre Heating Process with elastic fastenings to correct track parameters as specified, complete including supplying and fixing of i.52/60 Kg/m, 90 UTS, T-12 (1st quality) rails undrilled duly converted into 3 rail panels by welding joints with Alumino Thermic Welding with Short Pre Heating Process with all labour and material complete including finishing & testing of welded joints as per RDSO specification No. T-19/1994.The contractor shall have to collect 52/60 kg rails, free of cost from nominated depot of NTPC store at Korba, and transport the same to site of work at Korba (east) handle, lead and lay them at site, all at his cost. The payment for Alumino Thermic Welding with Short Pre Heating Process of rail joints including finishing and testing of welded rail joints not included in this item and shall be paid separately. ii. 60 Kg Mono block pre-stressed concrete (PSC) sleepers for 60 Kg.rails as per IRS specification T-39/1996 and RDSO drg. No. T- 2496/ALT2 with latest modification to relevant RDSO Drg. For Level crossing the sleepers shall be as per RDSO drg. No. T A, (Providing & fixing check rail will be paid separately). For fishplated rail joints, PSC sleepers to Drg No RDSO/ T-4322 shall be used with specified fittings. iii. 60 Kg Mono block pre-stressed concrete (PSC) sleepers for 60 Kg.rails as per IRS specification T-39/1996 and RDSO drg. No. T to 4186 with latest modifications and for curves to relevant RDSO Drg. (Providing & fixing check rail will be paid separately). iv. 60 Kg. Fish plates as per RDSO drg. No. T-090 (M)/T-1898 with Fish bolts & Nuts to RDSO drg. No Page 1 of 8

5 v. ERC as per RDSO drg. No. T-3701 for normal track and ERC J- clips to RDSO drg No. T-4158 for fish plated joints. vi. Metal liners as per RDSO drg. No. T-3702 & metal liners as per RDSO drg No. T-3738 and combination liners, GFN liners if required. vii. Grooved rubber sole plates as per RDSO drg. 6 2 Supplying linking and assembling 1 in 8.5 turnout, Fan shape design to RDSO drg No T-4865 with 60 kg 90 UTS, T-12 (1st quality) rails with 6400mm curved switch to RDSO drg No T-4966 and CMS crossing to RDSO drg No T-4967 on PSC sleepers (including supply of sleepers) complete with all materials including lead rails, fittings, PSC sleepers including approach & exit sleepers, switch, crossing, check rails etc including all lead and lift along with initial packing as a complete job. For payment purpose, this item of work will comprise complete layout including Switch assembly (RDSO drg No. T-4966),lead portion and crossing assembly(rdso drg No. T-4967) complete. Beyond the end of crossing assembly, the payment shall be made as per item 1 above but the contractor will have to provide five(5) approach sleepers and 2 sets of Exit sleepers(4 sleepers in each set) for which no additional payment will be made except the payment against item 1.( 2-LH,2-RH) Each set 4 Note : All elements of work of item 1 & 2 include all labour and materials(except rails) tools & plants etc. as a complete job. Track is to be laid to the approved alignment, level & gauge on straight & curves including providing super elevation and transition portions where required with initial packing. The rate shall include all leads, lifts, crossing of tracks, handling, re-handling, transportation of Permanent way materials to the site, pairing of SWP, straightening of rails & drilling and chamfering of holes in rails where required, paint marking of correct sleeper spacing on gauge face of base rail, painting & writing of station no. on curves, 10 m apart on the inside web and foot of the outer rails and painting of new rails with anticorrosive paint as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in charge and realigning the same including initial packing. 7 NOTE : The above rates (items 1& 2 ) shall include where required the cutting, straightening of Rails and drilling/chamfering of holes (machine made) in rails, ensuring correct sleeper spacing, laying of sleepers to correct gauge, alignment, longitudinal and cross levels and fixing of fish bolts with fish plates, rubber pads, liners & ERC etc. with initial packing including fixing of slide chairs, bearing plates, check blocks, heel blocks, etc. complete including supplying & fixing of hand lever sets for hand operated points, fixing of connecting rods as required, fixing of Z anchors, stretcher bars, etc. making the point ready for operation, straightening by Jim crowing of switches if necessary, paint marking of sleeper spacing on gauge face of the rails, painting and lettering of month and year of laying, point number near toe of switch, fixing of creep posts opposite each point by cutting of rail pieces of suitable length & fixing them opposite each toe of switch and saw marking on top of rail piece, to facilitate measurement of creep giving required bend in stock rails ahead of toe of switch(if required). The contractor will also carry out greasing / oiling of fish plates and fish bolts, (IS ) & inserts of PSC sleepers & ERCs, provide correct expansion gaps, according to temperature, complete fittings etc. including loading, leading and unloading at the site of work with one initial packing. The spacing of the sleepers shall be suitably adjusted as directed by Engineer-in-charge at joints. Glued joints & insulated joints will have to be laid as required according to plan. (Glued joints shall be paid separately) Page 4 of 8

8 3 Extra over items No.:1,2 for Alumino Thermic welding with Short Pre heating process of rail joints of 52 Kgs/90 UTS/T-12 rails on cess or in situ as per the requirement to make 3 rail SWP (Short Welded Panel) or welding of 52 kg rail joints at other locations as directed by Engineer-in-charge of the work, including the cost of all labour and material, tools, fuel, prefabricated moulds including handling of rails, cropping of rail ends, providing specified gaps at rail joints finishing of welded joints as per specifications including USFD testing and all other testings of welded joints as per Specifications and as laid down in RDSO Manual for Fusion welding of Rails by the Alumino, Thermic Process September 1998 with correction slips as issued (subject to modifications as provided for in Technical Specification for this work) as a complete job as per RDSO specification no. T-19/1984. The contractor has to arrange all the testings as laid down in the aforesaid manual at his cost. Each joint Lifting of CSEB existing track in stages as required max. up to 0.70 m including all labours,tools and plants,equipment etc. complete. Supplying and stacking of machine crushed Track Ballast conforming to RDSO Specifications of Track Ballast, January 1999 with latest amendments. Stacking of ballast to be done along the alignment on cess/toe of the embankment, or inside cutting including all types of transportation upto the site including all leads, lifts crossing of tracks and any other obstructions. The rate includes leveling of the stacking space properly and all taxes, levies, duties, octroi, royalty, etc. including all material and labour. No deduction will be made on stack measurement for shrinkage. RM 200 Cum 550 Page 5 of 8

9 6 Handling /lifting / leading & spreading Track ballast including light rolling of bed to a uniform level by using 5 to to 10 t light rollers (minimum two passes) for preparation of ballast bed of required thickness giving ballast cushion of 250mm. The ballast shall be lead from existing stacks to the proposed alignment of the track and spread there to make ballast bed for the track including subsequent supplementation of ballast after linking / tamping of track as required to make proper ballast profile on straight or on curved track including ballast in shoulders and cribs as a complete job. Cum Providing through packing of newly laid 1 in 8.5 turnouts / points and crossings to bring them to a good geometry to conform to specified line, level and parameters including designed layout of sleepers, slewing of tracks to correct alignment, gauging, tightening of fittings, lifting of track as necessary to obtain the required longitudinal/cross levels, tamping below the sleepers & boxing to final profile to conform to specified line and level. (a) i. 10 9 10 Earthwork in excavation for all type of soil for drain foundations and retaining walls etc. requiring dressing to neat dimensions including wet excavation below sub soil water where continuously bailing out of water is required with contractor s equipments etc., complete. Supplying and Placing in position HIGH STRENGTH DEFORMED STEEL BARS REINFORCEMENT (conforming to IS:1786, Grade Fe 415/500), for R.C.C. work including transporting the steel, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per details, binding with contractor s own 16SWG black soft annealed binding wire at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, overlaps, welding, spacers, fanhooks etc. for all heights and depths etc. all complete as directed. (SUPPLY OF ALL MATERIALS ARE IN CONTRACTOR S SCOPE). Cum 800 MT Providing and laying plain cement concrete of M-15 grade with 20mm and down size graded stone aggregates for leveling course or any other place, including tamping, ramming vibrating, curing all as specified in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth, etc. all complete as per drawings, specifications with all contractor's labour, tools, plants, machinery etc., and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. 11 12 Providing mass cement concrete M-25 ( controlled concrete) cast in situ in foundation and superstructure, curtain wall and drop walls,coping etc. of bridges with crushed stone chips 20mm nominal size and below gauge graded crushed stone coarse aggregate and coarse sand as per specification for all height including submission and getting approval of the Design mix and weigh batching,providing and removal of centering, shuttering, scaffolding including mixing with mixer machine and vibrating with needle form vibrator, rendering and finishing the exposed surface and curing for a specified period, all ascents, descents, crossing of any obstruction, all lead, lifts all labour and material complete job as per specification. Cum Providing backfilling of foundation behind the abutments and wing walls, return walls using good earth to connect the earth work in embankment including consolidation as per standards laid down in technical specifications etc., with all contractor's labour, materials, tools & plant etc., complete. Cum Const.
