3 F a s t F a c t s The CFA Society of St. Louis was founded in 1949 as a chapter of the CFA Institute (CFAI). The CFAI is a global organization that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation to candidates that pass three academically challenging exams and have at least four years of related work experience. The CFAI also leads the investment industry by setting the highest standards for ethics and professional excellence while vigorously advocating for fair and transparent capital markets. The CFA Society of St. Louis is one of 138 member societies and affiliates worldwide. Our mission is to promote ethics and professional excellence throughout the St. Louis investment community. We hold monthly educational and social events, as well as quarterly banner events, including the: Forecast Luncheon Career Development Network New Charterholder s Dinner CFAI Research Challenge. We have over 750 members, 85% of which hold the CFA designation. Approximately 35 of our members are active volunteers, engaged on one or more of our ten committees. We distribute a quarterly newsletter to more than 1000 industry professionals, with a read rate in excess of 35% - - more than triple the industry average. Our website generates traffic of more than 1,000 hits per month and 100 unique hits per day. Attendance at our educational programming events averaged 96 in members and guests. We partner with many other local and regional organizations. We support an advertising budget that has utilized print, radio, billboard and television outlets. We have established many educational partnerships, including hosting live prep classes and study groups with local universities. Ten complimentary event tickets are offered for 10 guests of the sponsor. Marketing materials are displayed at the entrance of the selected events. GOLD ($3,000) Sponsorship for 1 selected events. 7 Terms & Conditions Sponsorship Agreement The CFA Society of St. Louis (the Society) is generously supported by a variety of organizations (Sponsors). We rely on and value the contributions of these sponsorships. As a non-profit association, we work hard to provide the most goods and services to our members within the constraints of our limited resources. We strive to make every dollar stretch! As a current or potential sponsor, we are thankful for your support. Please read the following information thoroughly, as it pertains directly to your relationship with us and defines our Sponsorship Agreement. Terms of Agreement Term - Sponsorship dollars must be collected in full prior to the start of any sponsor benefits. Invoices will be issued and are due within 30 days. Checks should be made payable to: The CFA Society of St. Louis at the address information listed on your invoice. On arrangement, the CFA Society of St. Louis can also accept VISA or MasterCard. After receipt of signed contract, Sponsor is responsible for full payment and no refunds will be issued. Signage - All recognition of sponsorship is the sole responsibility of the Society. No additional signage or display by Sponsors is permitted unless approved in advance or explicitly detailed as a defined benefit in selected sponsorship package. Endorsement/Use - Society recognition of Sponsors in no way constitutes endorsement of the sponsors products, services or facilities. Any data obtained through sponsorship packages is reference material only, and not for ongoing use/distribution. Transfer - Each sponsorship is limited to one organization and may not be perceived inherent, or transferred to any subsidiary or partner organization. Termination - The Society shall have the right to terminate its obligations under this Agreement, upon notice to the Sponsor, in the event the Sponsor is, or any of its officers or directors are, the subject of, or involved in, bankruptcy, court action or some other type of scandal, event or occurrence which results in adverse publicity within the industry or general public which, in the reasonable and good-faith opinion of the Society, could disparage or impair the reputation and/or integrity of the CFA Society of St. Louis, the CFA designation or our membership. Further, the Society shall have the right to terminate its obligations under this Agreement if Sponsors obligations are not met, or are not met in a timely matter. Refund - If the Society terminates its obligations under this agreement pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Sponsor remains obligated to make payments in full to the Society as agreed. Under no circumstance is the Society obligated to return any payment/s already made by Sponsor. Full payment is due, and no refunds will be issued after receipt of signed contract. Responsibilities The CFA Society of St. Louis agrees to: Fulfill benefits as described Request materials and information in a timely manner Communicate with Sponsor in a timely manner Answer questions and address concerns of Sponsor The Sponsor agrees to Provide prompt payment Present all required information in a timely manner Communicate with Society in a timely manner Promptly identify concerns with the Society Payment Information Sponsorship dollars must be collected in full prior to the start of any sponsor benefits. Its membership is comprised of portfolio managers, security analysts, investment advisors, and other financial professionals. We currently have over 600 members. As you may know, we have a limited budget to fund these events. This year, however, we wish to pursue corporate sponsorship from the employers and vendors of our members.
