POSITION OBJECTIVES: Wrking with Residence Life and Facilities Management and the CSCS Site Maintenance Crdinatr t perfrm wrk rders as submitted. Determine if wrk is within scpe and if s perfrm the wrk as required in a timely and cst effective manner. Cnduct planned maintenance as required. Adhere t service level agreements, meeting client expectatins Cmpliance with OH&S prcedures and plicies. Be custmer fcused, assuming wnership and respnsibility fr prviding quality service t meet the needs f all custmers Fsters a wrk envirnment characterised by mutual respect Maintain a prfessinal and psitive manner when liaising with custmers Building, Facilities & Equipment Perfrm maintenance duties as required. Reprt any vandalism r damage utilising cmpany and CSU systems as sn as practicable. Ensure all maintenance vehicles and equipment are maintained crrectly and stred securely after use. Ensure adherence t and take an active rle in the quality assurance prgrams includes auditing General Respnsibilities Cnsist f but nt limited t: Prcurement, mvement and r dispsal f furniture, white gds and cnsumables and parts as required. Carry ut administratin prcedures and prcesses as apprpriate. Operating varius pwered equipment such as drills, welders, grinders and test tag equipment. Minr pest cntrl Maintain integrity and currency f Residences key/security systems. Other duties as apprpriate t the classificatin Essential Physical Requirements Substantial manual handling is an inherent physical requirement f this rle. The incumbent will be required t: Perfrm push/pull, reaching, grasping, fine manipulatin tasks including lifting items up t 10kgs Pssess the physical ability t carry ut cleaning duties which invlve frequent bending, reaching/stretching, squatting, repetitive lifting and standing fr lengthy perids Cleaning and Services (Level 2) PD PDCS. Reprt n maintenance and safety issues Dcument all incidents r accidents (invlving custmers and staff) and cmment where apprpriate Take immediate and apprpriate actin in the event f an emergency r in any circumstances that culd endanger the life r wellbeing f any persn JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING: At times this psitin requires the incumbent t use their wn judgement n what needs t be cleaned and when it shuld be dne ensuring that there is n disruptin t custmers The nature f the wrk is usually specialised with prcedures t be understd and used. There are schedules t cmply with but the incumbent shuld be flexible especially where emergency situatins arise. RISK MANAGEMENT/OH&S RESPONSIBILITIES: Ntify apprpriate Manager/Supervisr f all wrkplace and public incidents/injuries. Cnduct incident investigatins as required, and participate in and prvide all necessary dcumentatin and supprt as required fr insurance claims management. Cmply with all OH&S plicies, prcedures and safe wrk instructins applicable t yur rle. Participate in risk management activities and safety activities as required by yur rle r nminated by yur Manager. Reprt all bserved hazards Manage all buildings and equipment assets in yur cntrl t ensure prtectin frm fire, theft, damage and lss. Cnduct wrkplace quality, safety inspectin audits using the apprpriate inspectin checklist, and implement actins t reslve identified hazards. SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability t wrk unsupervised and as part f a team.
