NOTE TO BIDDERS: Bidders must acknowledge receipt of the Addendum on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject the Bidder to disqualification. This addendum consists of: Seven (7) 8-1/2 x 11 pages. 2 The following additions, corrections, and changes are hereby made to the subject Invitation for Bids. CHANGES TO PRIOR ADDENDA: None CHANGES TO BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: AD1-1. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: REVISE paragraph 1 to read as follows: Bids will be received until 3:30 p.m., local time January 10, 2017 January 3, 2017 for the Tikigaq School Major Facility Renovations & Gymnasium Addition Phase IV as described more completely in the Contract Documents entitled Tikigaq School Major Facility Renovations & Gymnasium Addition Phase IV CIP No AD1-2. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: 1.03 INTERPRETATIONS, REVISE paragraph 1, second sentence to read as follows: Every request for interpretations shall be made in writing and delivered to the Borough Representative no later than 2:00 p.m. December 16, :00 p.m. AST of the day of the Pre-Bed meeting or as may otherwise be established by the Bid documents CHANGES TO CONTRACTING REQUIREMENTS: None CHANGES TO SPECIFICATIONS: AD1-3. SECTION SUMMARY, Paragraph 1.6: REPLACE sub-paragraph (A.) and all subordinate sub-paragraphs with the following: A. The Work shall be conducted in four phases, as necessary to allow school activities to continue during established school year. 1. Phase IVA: Period from Contractor s formal Notice to Proceed to May 18, During this phase, Owner will have full occupancy of the facility, and full school activities will occur. Contractor shall have limited access to the site, as described in Work Restrictions Article below. 2. Phase IVB: Period from May 18, 2017 to August 12, During this phase, Contractor shall have full access to the site, and Owner may take limited occupancy of completed areas, as described in Coordination with Occupants Article below. Work items that must be completed prior to August 12, 2017 include: 1) All work in Elementary Wing (Area F). 2) All work in the Administrative area (Area D). 3) All work in the Multipurpose and Gymnasium (Areas D & E). 4) All work, testing, and re-certification of automatic fire protection sprinkler systems, CCVT system, fire alarm system, domestic water and sewer systems, and HVAC components. 3. Phase IVC: Period from August 12, 2017, to May 18, During this phase, Owner will have full occupancy of the facility, and full school activities will occur. Contractor shall have limited access to the site, as described in Work Restrictions Article below. 4. Phase IVD: Period from May 18, 2018 to August 12, During this phase, Contractor shall have full access to the site, and Owner may take limited occupancy of completed areas, as described in Coordination with Occupants Article below. a. Work items that must be completed prior to August 12, 2018 include: 1) All work in High School Wing (Areas B & C). 2) All work in the Library (Area D). 3) All work in the Natatorium (Area E). 4) All work, testing, and re-certification of automatic fire protection sprinkler systems, fire alarm system, domestic water and sewer systems, and HVAC components. 5. Phase IVE: Period from August 12, 2018 to November 15, 2018 (Substantial Completion). During this phase, Owner will have full occupancy of the facility, and full school activities will occur. Alternates section in consideration a number of the alternate scopes of work would be required to be complete Summer Please verify timeframe NSB intends to award Alternates? Response: Alternates will be awarded, if accepted, at the same time as Base Bid. 6. Sheet 0.4 and Sheet A2.4 indicate conflicting information in reference to the (E) connexes and the associated (E) structural support framing to remain (as shown on A0.4) or new (as shown on A2.4). Please confirm requirements for connexes and structural support Response: There is existing framing to remain (A0.4) and there is new supplemental framing as indicated on drawings. 7. Detail 3/A0.1 instructs to match existing rig mat. While we have the record documents for Phase 1 indicating the basis of design for the Composite Rig Mat, could you inform as to the actual manufacturer and model used? Response: The only available information on the material is shown on 3/A Please confirm that all personal items will be boxed and removed from the work areas upon of each school year, by the occupants. Response: Owner occupant items are addressed in specification section , 1.10, A, Please confirm that all school owned banners and decorations will be removed and stored by occupants to mitigate project delays. Section A Indicates: General: Installation and removal of and use charges for temporary facilities shall be included in the Contract sum unless otherwise indicated. Allow other entities to use temporary services and facilities without cost, including, but not limited to, Architect, testing agencies, and authorities having jurisdictions. Provide a quantity of desks and required space for Architects, testing agencies, and authorities having jurisdictions. Please confirm siding installation effort is to complete the areas currently without siding and contractor will not be required to repair/replace current siding in place.
