1 Stoughton Trailers, LLC Human Resources Department Date: September, 2012 Job Title: Master Scheduler Exemption Status: Exempt Reports To: VP of Manufacturing Position Purpose: Reconcile the interests of sales, engineering, and manufacturing into a reasonable and attainable master production schedule which will drive all production and related activities of the company. Estimate long-term demands of material, requirements and production capacity. Build a master production schedule based on firm customer orders and forecast using planning BOM s and production plan. This person is responsible for production over five plants. Essential Functions: (The percentages assigned to essential and additional functions, below, should total 100%.) Essential Functions % of Time Build a master production schedule based on firm customer orders and forecast using 30% planning BOM s and production plan. Maintain the Master Production Schedule. 20% Define and manage the manpower plan. Load and maintain (MRP) in keeping with Time Fence Policies and run MRP. 10% Release, maintain, and modify end item work orders, after-market, engineering test 5% and prototypes. Maintain and distribute final assembly schedules. 5% Run production meetings Support floor by directing their work efforts
2 Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy. 100% Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product 100% Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good 100% attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures. 100% Additional Responsibilities: Additional Functions % of Time Process sales orders. 5% Review for material and labor content, and schedule. Process supplements. 5% Maintain TA job files and serial masters. 5% Maintain MRP calendar and forecasts. 5% Generate and distribute available to promise and dealer completion list. 5% Measure performance against final assembly schedule and prepare data for reviews. 5% Work and communicate in a team environment. 100% Other duties may be assigned as required by the Company. 100% Education, Knowledge and Skill: Bachelor s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 3 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office application Self motivated. Understanding of materials. Understanding of lead times. Good communication skills. Understanding of MRP- what it does and how to use it. Understanding of company goals- both short-term and long-term. Understanding of capacity planning and resource planning. Good facilitator. Understanding of all facets of the company and the product it builds.
