3 Today more than 1 bill.tons of oil is produced that is 35% of world production. Against this the continental shelf of Russia with its interior seas has substantial hydrocarbon potential which is unexplored and unique. In early 2000s the results of exploration drilling showed highly upside fields in Russia in Sakhalin, in the Barents Sea and in the north of the Caspian Sea and in the Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan parts of the Caspian. Lack of infrastructure for production and transportation of technical facilities for operation at offshore oilfields prevented ambitious development of the continental shelf. The foundation of CNRG Group was driven by the following key factors; first, the rising demand for turn-key offshore projects and; second, the absence of a Russian company in the sector which could implement largescale projects. The leading Russian engineering, production and service companies which make up CNRG Group have vast experience in offshore projects. The incorporation of design, production and service competencies in the Group guarantee a fast and coordinated response in this dynamic and competitive sector. The structure also enhances efficiency and provides clarity in tracking the progress of projects from design, engineering and procurement, through to construction and installation. Our design teams and wharves are involved in practically all Russian offshore projects, including the development of the Kravtsovskoe field in the Baltic Sea and the Prirazlomnoe field in the Pechora Sea, and the Sakhalin-1 and Sakhlin-2 projects in the Sea of Okhotsk. We also have considerable experience in developing the Russian segment of the Caspian Sea, Sakhalin and the Kazakhstan field Kashagan. We also plan to extend the geographical presence of our business. 4 Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association CNRG Group s construction division specializes in manufacturing offshore facilities and commercial vessels. Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association (ASPO) was founded by three major Astrakhan shipyards Astrakhan Korabel, III International and Lotos. The advantageous location of the construction sites on the Caspian Sea, combined with the company s unique experience in making and upgrading offshore platforms, make ASPO the ideal choice for the construction of platforms and facilities for offshore exploration and production. 4

6 Engineering competences Center of marine technologies Shelf is an integrated structure and represents engineering division of Caspian Energy Group. CMT Shelf includes the leading Russian design bureaus: JSC CDB Corall (Sevastopol) JSC DB Vympel (Nizhniy Novgorod) DB Astramarin (Astrakhan) JSC SDB Caspiy (Astrakhan) Wide specialization of CMT Shelf includes engineering of technical facilities for exploration drilling at sea shelf, gas and oil production platforms, floating cranes and different types of vessels. The joint engineering team (1,000 engineers specializing in different areas) undertakes large-scale projects from concept through to operational documentation.
