I have attached a draft agenda. On Monday evening we will host a reception for any early arrivals. Also on Monday evening the CP 1000 ft. Holiday Train will pass through Moose Jaw with a railcar dedicated to performers and hundreds of thousands of LED lights and designs on 14 rail cars. They are asking for a donation to the local food bank. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday we have a full agenda. The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Security Agency are planning on modernizing their respective Acts in In light of the upcoming changes we have invited Roger Holm to speak on the Irrigation Council and the process in Alberta. We will also get to hear WSA explain all the considerations that go into how Lake Diefenbaker is operated. A group of vegetable growers traveled to California earlier in the year and they will bring forward their comments on the opportunities in Saskatchewan. Watch our website for updates. Synopsis of SIPA continues to provide input to support development of the industry. In 2013 the Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program (FRWIP) was signed by the federal and provincial governments under the Growing Forward 2 program. There is financial assistance available until early 2018 for off farm works for the development of new acres of irrigation within districts and for private irrigators. There are also BMP s to encourage efficient use of our resources. We will have a short presentation on the program and then a resolution for discussion on items for the Ministry s consideration for Growing Forward In 2016 SIPA met with Sask Power to discuss the installation of new infrastructure. 3. SIPA and other interested organizations met with various Saskatchewan Ministries with the goal of keeping the mussels out of Saskatchewan. 4. SIPA participated in meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture on their proposed changes to the Irrigation Act. We also met with WSA to learn what they are proposing to change in the Water Act. WSA has also committed to completing their Operating Plan for Lake Diefenbaker within this fiscal year. 5. SIPA continues to work on expanding irrigation in Saskatchewan including The Qu Appelle South Irrigation District #31 Inc and the Macrorie North project.
