3 - 3 (GENERAL /CIVIL WORKS) 1.0 INTRODUCTION The Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd.(REC), (A Govt of India Enterprises), intends to Construction of Boundary wall at the Residential Plot at sector-57 Gurgaon(Haryana) for Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd.(REC) Gurgaon 9Haryana).REC has entrusted the work to TCIL Ltd, as Project management consultant. The work broadly involves construction of Construction of Boundary wall at the Residential Plot at sector-57 Gurgaon. 2.0 GENERAL 2.1 The work in general shall be carried out as per the latest CPWD specifications with up to date correction slips I.S. codes of Practice, sound engineering practices and General guidelines issued by the GM ( C ), PD Gurgaon and institutions issued by the REC from time to time., unless otherwise specified in the nomenclature of the individual item or as per specifications provided with this tender. Any item not covered under these specifications shall be carried out as per approved specifications. In case any item is not covered in any of these documents, the same shall be carried out as per the latest BIS Code in practice or as per approval of Engineer in Charge of TCIL. 2.1 Where any portion of special conditions of contract is repugnant to or at variance with any provision of the with Instructions to Tenderer and General Conditions of contract and/or the other documents forming part of the contract then unless a different intention appears the provision of the Special Conditions of Contract shall be deemed override the provisions of the general conditions of contract and / or the other documents forming part of the contract only to the extent such repugnant/variations in the special conditions of contract as are not possible of being reconciled with the provision with Instructions to Tenderer or General Conditions of contract and/or the other documents forming part of the contract. 3 NATURE OF CONTRACT 3.1 The Contract shall be on percentage rate for all the items for the finished work as per the contract Documents. 3.2 The rates quoted by the Contractor shall be deemed to cover for all the minor details / requirement of construction, which may not have been specifically shown on the drawings or given in particular specifications, BOQ, but are required as per established engineering practice. 4 SET OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Tender document shall be read as under: The following documents will complete a set of tender documents: Volume-I General Conditions of Contract Instruction to Tenderer Notice Inviting Tenders Special Conditions of Contract Volume-II Technical Specifications List of Approved makes

4 - 4 Volume-III Schedule of Rate / Bill of Quantities Volume-IV Tender drawings 5 ACCESS TO SITE The proposed sites are located at Sector 57 Gurgaon (Haryana). The site is well connected to the road/rail network. The contractor shall make sure that while carrying out his responsibilities in connection with this project, he will not disrupt traffic movement along public road or any other approach to the site. 6 DEFINITIONS Definitions as per General Conditions of Contract (GCC) shall be amended or the following definitions appended as under 6.1 The word Site in various clauses of General Conditions of Contract (GCC) and other documents of this Tender shall mean the construction of Boundary wall for REC, Sector 57, Gurgaon. 6.2 Wherever in General Conditions of Contract, approval of TCIL / Executing Agency is mentioned, it shall also include the approval from the Owner / Owner s representative also. 7 DRAWINGS 7.1 The drawings duly signed by Architect / Consultants are diagrammatic but shall be followed as closely as actual construction permits. Any deviation made shall be with prior approval of and in conformity with the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL. 7.2 Architectural drawings shall take precedence over structural drawings and structural drawings, in turn, shall take precedence over engineering services drawings if any conflict arises regarding dimensions. 7.3 The contractor shall verify all dimensions at site and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of the Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL before commencing any construction work. Decision of the Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL will be final and binding on the contractor. 8 SCOPE OF WORK 8.1 The scope of work comprises execution of various items as per BOQ along with General Conditions of Contract (GCC), Instruction to Tenderers (ITT), Special Conditions of Contract (SCC), Particular Specifications, and Drawings etc. 8.2 The contractor shall draw up an implementation schedule in consultation with Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL and REC authorities. 8.3 The contractor shall seek and obtain necessary prior permission from REC /TCIL authorities before commencement of work in any area in accordance with the implementation schedule. Agreement to an implementation schedule does not provide the contractor permission to commence work in any area without seeking immediately prior necessary permission to work in that area. 8.4 The contractor shall notify the Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL regarding disruption of work if and when so happens. Any claim for delay in works on account of such disruptions or otherwise will not be admissible.

5 The contractor shall coordinate with all other sub-contractors or vendors selected by the client for other works in relation to this job and extend all support to the other vendors as far as practicable. 8.6 The contractor shall make his own arrangement for storage of materials outside the site of work. However, if any space is available within the site of work the contractor shall seek and obtain necessary permission from the TCIL authorities regarding the same. Nevertheless, security of the material shall be the contractor s responsibility. 8.7 The contractor shall, at all times, maintain at site one clean set of all drawings issued to him for reference of the client, consultant or any of their representative. 8.8 Manufacturer s drawings, catalogues, pamphlets, equipment characteristics data, performance charts and other documents submitted for approval shall be in four sets. Each item in each set shall be properly labeled, indicating the specific services for which material or equipment is to be used, giving reference to the governing section and clause number and clearly identifying in ink the items and the operating characteristics. Data of general nature shall not be accepted. 8.9 The contractor shall maintain a site order book at the site office. All instructions received from the Engineer-in-Charge of TCIL relating to the work shall be retained in the file The contractor shall establish an effective quality control system at the site and implement the same to enforce quality control on all items of the work and the project at all stages The contractor shall take all precautions and preventive measures against fire hazards at the site and shall assume full responsibility for the same All cutting and drilling of walls or other elements of the building for the proper entry/installation of inserts, boxes, equipment, etc. shall be carried out using electrically operated tools only. Manual drilling, cutting, chiseling, etc. shall not be permitted The contractor shall provide luminous painted warning / caution notice boards with flickering light arrangements around the area of working place on all sides as applicable where the work is in progress. Any cut-out on floor shall be duly cordoned off with ribbonned barricades for safety of workers as well as for passersby. Safety to contractor s personnel as well as all visitors in and around the area of work shall be the contractor s responsibility Before taking up the work of excavation, the contractor shall provide proper barricading of the trenches as per approved design and as per specifications so as to avoid access of unauthorized traffic (pedestrians and vehicular) to the place of work The contractor shall not disturb/damage or pull down any hedge, tree, building etc within the site or his area of operation without the written permission of the Engineerin-Charge of TCIL or concerned local authorities The contractor shall at all the times during the progress of work take all requisite precautions and use his best endeavors for preventing any riotous or unlawful behavior by or among the workers and other employees at the work and shall preserve peace and protection of the inhabitants and the security of property in the neighborhood of the work.

6 - 6 9 SITE DOCUMENTS The following site documents shall be maintained by the contractor at site a) Copy of contract documents and drawings b) Computerized bill format c) Site Order Book d) Material testing registers/ Quality Inspection Reports e) Measurement books on computerized format f) Progress bar chart g) Sample approval register h) Visitors register i) Any other detail and specific requirement as deemed necessary j) Hindrance Register k) Work Diary l) Stage passing Register In case the above are not provided at site within 10 days of placement of LOI, TCIL shall procure the same at the risk and cost of the contractor and the expenditure so incurred shall be recovered from the contractors. 10. VIDEO CONFERENCING: The contractor shall make provisions of video conferencing at project site. For monitoring progress by Corporate office, TCIL or other offices as directed by Engineer-in charge, TCIL.

7 - 7 PARTICULAR SPECIFICATIONS CIVIL WORKS 1. General: The work shall be carried out strictly in accordance with particular specifications and drawings. The drawings, specifications BOQ etc. shall be taken complementary and also supplementary to each other and shall form part of this contract. Any work or material shown on drawings and not specifically included in BOQ/specification or vice versa shall be executed and deemed to be included in the scope of work for lump sum rate. However, the steel for reinforcement work shall be TMT-BARS of Fe In case there are no specifications for items shown on the drawings or where items are not exclusively described, the general specifications of CPWD shall be followed for which nothing extra shall be paid. In case, no details are available even in CPWD specification, then decision of Engineer-In-charge is final & binding on the contractor. 3. Scope of works : The scope of work for buildings under this contract includes for full & final and entire completion of all works including all internal and external services in all respects described in particular specification Part-I and as shown on drawings forming part of the contract. 4. Although all the details of construction have been covered in these documents, any item or details of construction not specifically covered but obviously implied and essential to consider Civil works and all internal and external services complete and functional, shall be deemed to have been covered in the lump sum quoted. The cost of external development works pertaining to a particular contract shall also be carried out on a final lump sum price based on the rates quoted for each item. The tenderer may however, consider a minimum level of specifications conforming to IS code or National Building Code to cover any missing details. 5. Sample of Materials: The Contractor shall produce samples of all materials and shall obtain approval of these in writing from Architect/ Project Engineer before he places bulk order for the materials for incorporation in the works. The samples must be produced at least six week before they are to be incorporated in sample dwelling units. Materials to be incorporated in the work shall conform to latest relevant ISI. The items should be ISI marked where manufactured. 6. Slopes : Adequate slope shall be provided in areas where there is likelihood of excess of water such as toilets, balconies, verandah, kitchens, terraces, top of chajjas, window cills, plinth protections etc. though these may not be expressly shown in drawings. 7. Curing: Exposed surfaces of all cement works viz. cement concrete, brick work, flooring, plastering, pointing and the like shall be cured by keeping the surface adequately and continuously wet as directed by Architect and Project Engineer for at least seven days where ordinary portland cement has been used. Approved curing compound may be used in lieu of moist curing with the permission of Architect and Project Engineer. Such compound shall be applied to all exposed surface of cement works as soon as possible after the initial setting of cement. This shall be without extra cost. A. CLEARING OF SITE: Clearing of site from grass, vegetation, wild growth etc will also be in scope of work. Any construction debris surplus earth or any other material lying at site on as is where is basis shall also be removed by the contractor. Dismantling of any structure fouling in the layout or otherwise required to facilitate the work shall also be in contractor s scope of work. The contractor shall dispose off the entire debris/rubbish etc. up to 5 Km lead at places as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

8 - 8 The job specifications shall be as per but not limited to the following items : Site cleaning including removal of wild growth and vegetation, dismantling of existing structure etc. as per requirement and disposal of construction debris/earth with in a lead of 5 KM, dressing, leveling and grading of formation to the required level including soil compaction, if necessary. B. RECONNAISSANCE AND SETTING OUT OF FACILITIES: Surveying the total area, finding out the exact coordinates of the boundary walls and other facilities with respect to the reference coordinates and setting out / laying out of blocks and other facilities using modern equipments such as Total Station etc. The permanent benchmarks are to be constructed, maintained and handed over to owner after completion of the jobs. C. EARTH WORK: Earth work in excavation for foundation etc (as per drawings). Backfilling of earth/ sandy soil in layers, in foundation, under floors with surplus excavated earth/ sand, Dressing including cutting/ filling and supplying & filling of good earth around building within the fencing /compound wall of building approved earth. The Plinth level (Floor level) of the building shall be same as the floor level of the adjacent existing building or 500 mm above from the center level of road in front of the building or as per HUDA guidelines, whichever is higher. The finished grade level (FGL) surrounding the building shall be maintained at 400 mm below the plinth / floor level with in the fencing / compound wall/ HUDA norms. Any cutting / filling required for maintaining the levels. Pre-constructional anti-termite treatment for the building as per relevant IS. Sand filling under floors with fine sand (minimum thickness 150mm). The finished grade level (FGL) surrounding the building shall be maintained at 400 mm (avg.) below the plinth / floor level within the fencing / compound wall. Cutting / filling maybe required for maintaining the levels. The job specifications shall be as per but not limited to the following items: C1 Earth work in excavation for all kinds of works in foundations, trenches, cable trenches over areas etc. in all types of soil except soft rock and hard rock including removal of vegetation, shrubs and debris, cutting and dressing of sides in slopes, leveling, grading and ramming of bottoms, dewatering of accumulated water from any source and keeping the surface dry for subsequent works and disposal or stacking of excavated material within a lead of 1 Km or more, all complete. Lift up to 3.0 M. C2. Back filling to proper grade and level when and wherever required in foundation, trenches and plinth, below footpaths/ approaches/ driveway etc. with selected materials from available excavated earth/ sandy soil within a lead of 1 Km or more including reexcavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, breaking clods, laying at all depths and heights in layer of thickness not exceeding 20cms., watering, rolling and ramming/consolidation, dressing, trimming etc. all complete. (In case the quantity of available excavated sandy soil is found inadequate, additional filling material shall be supplied by the Contractor without any extra cost to the Owner). C3 C4 Supplying of approved earth free from vegetation and un-useful materials and filling to proper grade and level wherever required in foundation, trenches, plinth and site leveling work etc., breaking clods, laying at all depths and heights in layer of thickness not exceeding 20cms., watering, rolling and ramming/consolidation, dressing, trimming etc. all complete for all leads and lifts involved. Cleaning of areas around the buildings and surface dressing within the fencing/ boundary wall and also from fencing/ boundary wall to the nearest roadside drain. C5. Supplying and filling fine sand in plinth/ under floors, footpath etc. including watering, ramming, consolidating, dressing etc. complete. (Supply of sand will be necessary only

9 - 9 if the excavated sandy soil is found to be inadequate/ exhausted. Excavated sandy soil is suitable for filling purpose in all areas including below floors). D. PLAIN AND REINFORCED CONCRETE: Plain cement concrete and reinforced cement concrete works in foundations, columns, beams, walls, slabs, flooring, lintels, chajjas, staircases, fins, lofts, under floors etc. for the buildings, trenches, pits, drains, pipe supports, sewer lines, manholes, inspection pits, box culverts, pipe casings, collection chambers, channels, sumps, platform supports, compound walls, fencing supports etc. and other works, including all scaffolding, shuttering curing etc. all complete., including straightening,cutting, bending, placing in position HYSD / TMT (Fe-415 or more) reinforcement bars conforming to IS 1786 for RCC works. Damp proof coarse (DPC). DPC level for compound wall shall be same as the floor level of garage. DPC is not required wherever plinth band has been provided. However bitumen coating at the top of plinth band is to be done. PCC under floors at ground floor shall be 100 mm thick in 1:3:6 (1 Cement: 3 Coarse Sand: 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size), unless otherwise specified in the drawing. All window / ventilator sill, top of parapet wall, dwarf wall etc. shall be provided with 40 mm thick coping with cement concrete 1:1.5:3 (1 Cement: 1.5 Coarse Sand: 3 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size). Bed blocks for beams shall be 100 mm thick with cement concrete 1:1.5:3 (1 Cement: 1.5 Coarse Sand: 3 graded stone aggregate 20mmnominal size). Kitchen platform/ other counters as per drawing and making the hole for gas pipe etc. Wherever required, necessary provisions / openings / pockets to be made in RCC/PCC work for railing balusters / spouts / pipes etc. All RCC work shall be of M-30 grade. The minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg / M3. All types of shuttering, staging, scaffolding etc. and removal of the same is included in contractor s scope of work. Straightening, cutting, bending, and placing in position HYSD / TMT reinforcement bars conforming to IS 1786 for RCC works. Cinder concrete / light weight concrete for sunken portion etc. Grading of sunken portion with PCC 1:2:4. Construction of Expansion Joints shall be provided as per IS: Concreting shall be carried out continuously up to construction joints, the position and arrangement of which shall be decided by the Engineer-In- Charge. Prior to resuming further concreting work, the surface shall be roughened, swept, clean and thoroughly wetted. For vertical joints, neat cement slurry shall be applied on the surface before itis dry. For horizontal joints, a 15mm thick layer of freshly prepared cement sand mortar, in the same ratio surface. This layer of cement slurry or mortar shall be applied immediately before placing of concrete. Bitumen impregnated fiber board of approved quality shall be provided and laid into the expansion joint including sealing the open joint with approved quality minous sealing compound at all heights and locations. The job specifications shall be as per but not limited to the following items: D1. Providing and laying plain cement concrete 1:4:8 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand: 8 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size) in foundations, footings bases of columns etc. including the cost of centering and shuttering.

10 - 10 D2. Providing and laying plain cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 Cement: 3 Coarse Sand: 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size) under floors etc. including the cost of centering and shuttering. D3. Providing and laying damp-proof Course 40mm thick with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1Cement: 2 Coarse Sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 12.5mm nominal size) including providing & mixing approved water proofing 1Kg per 50Kg of cement or as per manufacturer s specifications. D4. Applying a coat of residual petroleum bitumen of penetration 80/100 of approved quality using 1.7kg/sqm on damp proof course after cleaning the surface with brushes and finally with a piece of cloth lightly soaked in kerosene oil. D5. Providing and laying cement concrete in string or lacing courses, parapets, copings, bed blocks, anchor blocks, plain window sills and the like up to floor five level (including the cost of centering and shuttering and finishing) with 1:1.5:3 (1 Cement: 1.5 Coarse Sand: 3 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size). D6. Providing and laying in position Reinforced cement concrete of M-30 grade in foundations and superstructure for all types of work such as foundations, plinth bands, lintels, beams, slabs, columns, shelves, chajjas, fins, staircases, landings, arches, lofts, walls, pre-cast elements etc up to floor five level, as shown in the drawings, including all necessary form work and removal of the same. The minimum cement content for M-30 grade shall be 400 Kg / M3 of concrete. D7. Providing and laying cinder concrete or any other approved light weight aggregate in cement cinder mix 1:10 (1 Cement: 10 Cinder of 40mm nominal size) in sunken portions of toilet, kitchen etc., laid to slope including consolidating the same. D8. Supplying, fixing, straightening cutting, bending, binding / welding and placing in position HYSD / TMT reinforcement bars conforming to IS 1786 (Grade Fe 415 or above) conforming to IS 1786, in RCC work complete. NOTE: 1. All RCC work shall be of M-30 grade. Designing of concrete mix, as per norms, shall be in contractor s scope. However the minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg/ M3 of concrete. 2. Ordinary Portland cement conforming to IS 8112 and IS / Portland Slag cement (PSC) / Portland Pozzolona cement (PPC) shall be used for. Grade of cement shall be 43 or 53.However while using Gr 53 cement, utmost care shall be taken to avoid initial cracking. 3. For all RCC work weigh batching shall be done. For concreting work Automatic mini batching plant shall be preferred. However, where batching plant cannot be put to use for some reason Mechanical mixer machine with weigh batcher shall be used. 4. Adding of admixtures of approved quality, as per requirement shall also be in contractor s scope. 5. For water retaining structures, use of water proofing compound, water stops / water seals etc., as required, is also included in contractor s scope of work. 6. PVC cover blocks of appropriate size shall be used for RCC work. 7. The staging of supports shall be as per CPWD specification. The formwork shall be of ply boards for columns, beams, lintels, chajjas etc. and ply boards / steel plates for slabs. 8. All exposed surfaces of concrete shall be kept continuously in a damp or wet condition by pounding or covering with a layer of sacking, canvas, hessian or similar materials and kept constantly wet for the period as specified by the Engineer-in-Charge from the date of placing of the concrete. 9. The height of casting of concrete in a column at a time shall not exceed 1.50m. 10. The surface of the RCC / concrete works obtained after removal of formwork shall be smooth and even. In case, any honey combs, undulations etc. are formed

11 - 11 on the surfaces, the same shall be made good with cement mortar 1 : 3 using coarse sand and finished smooth as required. E. BRICK WORK : All brick work in foundation and superstructure for buildings, compound wall, manholes, chambers, traps etc., and any other works required to complete the job, including racking of joints, curing, scaffolding etc. all complete. 1. Thickness of brick walls in superstructure including parapet wall shall be 230 mm thick except for few partition walls, which will be of half brickwork (without any reinforcement). 2. Raised platform below cupboard, showcases, Kitchen platform etc. shall be 100 mm high with bricks. 3. Height of the boundary wall, wherever provided as per tender, shall be as per drawings/ HUDA norms and shall be provided with suitable gate/s. 4. Wherever required, necessary provisions / openings to be made in brick work for railing balusters/ spouts / pipes, exhaust fans, AC openings etc. 5. All brickwork shall be in cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand). NOTE: 1. Normally mixture machines shall be used for mixing the mortar 2. Ordinary Portland cement conforming to IS 8112 and IS / Portland Slag cement (PSC) / Portland Pozzolona cement (PPC) shall be used for. Grade of cement shall be 43 or 53. However while using Grade 53 cement, utmost care shall be taken to avoid initial cracking. The job specifications shall be as per but not limited to the following items: E1. Brickwork with bricks of class designation 75 (7.5 N/mm2) in foundation and plinth with Cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse Sand). E2. Brick work with bricks of class designation 75 (7.5 N/mm2) in Cement mortar 1:6 (1 Cement: 6 Coarse Sand) in super structure above plinth level up to floor five level including brickwork on arched beam & tapered shape. E3. Half brick work with bricks of class designation 75 (7.5 N/mm2) in superstructure above plinth level up to floor five levels with cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement: 4 Coarse sand) including brickwork on arched beam & tapered shape. F. FINISHING WORK: i) PLASTERING: Plastering works to wall surface, beams, columns, ceiling etc. for all buildings up to floor five level including all scaffolding, staging etc. complete. a) Internal Plastering: 1. Internal Wall with fairfaces12 mm thick (Av) plaster in Cement Mortar 1: 6 2. Internal Wall with unfairfaces15 mm thick (Av) plaster in Cement Mortar 1: 6 b) External plastering 1. All external surfaces (unless otherwise specified elsewhere) including verandah and balconies to be plastered with 15mm thick plaster in cement mortar 1:4. Outside walls may also be partly or fully finished with rough cast plaster in two layers as per CPWD specification. The area between the plinth protection and

12 - 12 plinth level may be finished with rough cast plaster only with clear groove at plinth level to prevent spreading of dampness upwards. 2. All concrete exposed surface to be plastered with minimum 12 mm thick wherever not mentioned 3. In external plaster grooves of uniform size 12 x 12mm shall be provided as shown in the drawings. 4. At the junction of chajja / projection and wall gola of PCC 1:1.5:3 (1 cement: 1.5 coarse sand: 3 graded stone aggregate of 20mm down size) shall be provided before plastering. 5. Drip course of 50 mm x 12 mm size shall be provided below chajja and balcony projection. 6. There will be a neat groove in plaster all around the door/window frame wherever the frame is flushed with the plaster. 7. The thickness of various plasters mentioned above is the minimum thickness. However the contractor may have to provide more thickness at some places depending upon the site requirement to maintain proper leveling of surfaces. 8. Wherever wall chasing is done for electrical conduit/ water line or any other purpose, chicken mesh shall be provided before plastering. ii) PAINTING: Painting of all internal and external surfaces, inside lofts, wood work, steel work, exposed GI pipes, spouts etc., manhole/chambers projected above ground, fencing gate etc. a) External Painting: All the external faces of the building including garages shall be finished with three or more coats of water proof cement paint over a prepared base as per CPWD specifications. The building may be painted in combination of more than one shade as decided by the Engineer in-charge. Superior quality anti-fungus external paint (Sandtex mat or approved equivalent) shall be applied for minor portions like projection etc., generally with darker shades. General: 1. All steel work shall be painted with a priming coat before fixing the same in position. 2. All exposed wooden and steel works shall be painted with two or more coats of Synthetic enamel paint over a coat of approved primer. All unexposed faces of wooden frames, boards etc. in contact with wall / floor/ concrete work, shall be painted with bituminous wood preservative paint. 3. Wooden moulding / lipping, inside of showcases, cabinets, cupboards, drawers Etc. may be polished or painted as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. 4. In case details of finishing of any area is left out, the same shall be provided as per details of the similar areas elsewhere mentioned in this tender depending upon the use of the area, with in the lump sum quoted rates.

13 - 13 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CIVIL WORKS- NON-SCHEDULED ITEMS PORTA CABIN: a) The portable cabins will be fabricated out of pre coated G.I. sheet. The outer body will be made with suitable corrugation. The frame and top will be made out of special formed channels using MS sheet/ms Pipes with suitable stiffeners and supports required as per design for strength of cabin. The Top of the cabin shall have a slope. b) The cabin will be painted after necessary cleaning of oil/rust on sheet by chemicals and the applied with two coats of Enamel paint. c) The bottom flooring will be made of 18 mm Cement Bonded fiber board (termite & waterproof) with vinyl carpet on top of it with suitable skirting and moulding pattis for better aesthetic look from inside. d) MS door will be provided with 2 nos. locks and handles arrangement from inside and outside respectively. e) The portable cabin will be provided with two No s Aluminum sliding windows and 1 No fixed glass window (opposite door) duly powder coated (2 track) with glass, locking arrangement, silicon filling, etc for cross ventilation of air. f) The cabin from all side will have PUFF filled insulation. g) The provision for electrical fittings as like 1No main MCB/Connectors for incoming supply, 1Nos Tube light with ON/OFF switch and 1Nos Plug point should be for Porta Cabin. ANNEXURE C: LISTING DEVIATIONS OF TENDER Although deviations are generally not acceptable, but in case it becomes pertinent as per Manufacturer s/contractor, then he is requested to specifically give the details of deviations, if any, on this sheet and continuation thereof in the below mentioned format only. 14 - 14 QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL: 1.0 The work shall conform to high standards of design and workmanship, shall be structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing quality standards prescribed shall form the backbone for the quality assurance and quality control system. 2.0 At the site level the Contractor shall arrange the materials, their stacking/storage in appropriate manner to ensure the quality. Contractor shall provide equipment and manpower to test continuously the quality of materials, assemblies etc. as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge. The test shall be conducted continuously and the result of tests maintained. In addition, the Contractor shall keep appropriate tools and equipment for checking alignments, levels, slopes and evenness of surface. 3.0 The Engineer- in-charge shall be free to carry out tests as may be considered necessary by him at his sole discretion, from time to time, in addition to those specified in this document. The Contractor shall provide the samples and labour for collecting the samples nothing extra shall be payable to the Contractor for samples or for the collection of the samples. 4.0 The test shall be conducted at the site laboratory that may be established by Engineer-in-Charge or at any other standard Laboratory selected by Engineer- in-charge. 5.0 The contractor shall transport the samples to the laboratory for which nothing extra shall be payable. In the event of Contractor failing to arrange transportation of the samples in proper time Engineer-in-Charge shall have them transported and recover two times the actual cost from the Contractor s bills. 6.0 Testing charges shall be borne by the Engineer-in-Charge. 7.0 Testing may be witnessed by the Contractor or his authorized representative. Whether witnessed by the Contractor or not, the test results shall be binding on the Contractor.
