1 Business Solutions Technical Lead Chief Information Officer Business Test Analyst To provide expertise in analysis, design, and implementation of business intelligence systems and to be the technical lead for Council s core information systems.

3 To provide business solution (analyst) services and support to the development of effective solutions for business initiatives, including both new applications and services and additions to existing applications and services. To be an effective and self-motivated contributor who provides demonstrable value by translating requirements between business, technical and operational functions into practical solutions to support the team or project. Actively contribute to the initiation, design, development, testing and implementation of solutions to meet key business requirements. Operate under a solid consultative style, and excellent interpersonal and analytical skills in order to conceptualise and define solutions and craft the information into business, functional and technical specifications. Lead the analysis and requirements gathering process for customer and business needs. Document comprehensive requirements (business, product, technical, data, functional and non-functional, operational transition) to ensure that new or modified applications and services are delivered that meet stakeholder needs. Lead the development of business analyst standards, templates, methodologies and processes to be followed within Council Oversee and manage the process of developing business intelligence and system analysis by providing support and direction. To be a key influencer in future system integration and data warehousing to enable a single, accurate, and complete view of all data sources. Communicate the SDC vision and values to all team members and ensure the development of an engaged, empowered, passionate and high performing team. The key responsibilities are provided as a guide only. Performance measures for this job will need further discussion between the job holder and manager as part of the performance development process.
4 Undertake other activities, duties or projects (including internal projects ) as directed by your Manager/Group Manager in an efficient and effective manner. Attend and participate in Emergency Operations training (CIMS) and contingency planning to prepare for an emergency management event and actively participating in training exercises. Assist Council, as required, in managing a civil defence event, having due regard to the safety of your family. Responsible for the safe management of Group activities and to support and enable the CEO and the Council as a PCBU to fulfil their duties under the law. Champion, comply and promote the Council s health and safety systems, policies and procedures, current legislation, regulations and good practice ensuring you keep yourself, our Council and others safe.
5 Advanced technical capabilities include SQL DBA skills and competency using SQL query tools, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Studio. Highly developed skills in system integration and business intelligence to enable a single, accurate, and complete view of all Council data sources. Demonstrate a strong level of knowledge in business analysis processes including user and data requirement analysis and specification. Ability to elicit and clearly document customer, business and systems requirements, and desired outputs, including the ability to effectively facilitate workshops with a diverse range of participants. Understands IT platforms and systems, and their business, technical and operational capabilities, so that Council may apply these capabilities to new opportunities in the future. Is able to be an intelligent customer of IT service providers A proactive customer service approach and a can-do attitude. A good understanding of accounting principles for preparing annual operating estimates and financial performance monitoring. Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer skills. A logical thinker. Significant number of years experience in IT roles with exemplary level of competency/performance. Requirement is a tertiary IT or equivalent qualification as a minimum
