1 1. ROLE DETAILS Position title Reports to Department Maintenance Superintendent Plant Manager Maintenance 2. ROLE PURPOSE Under general direction of, and with delegated authority from, the Plant Manager, manage all aspects of the Maintenance Department to provide comprehensive maintenance services to Operations Department for the overall safe, smooth and reliable 24 hours/day operation to meet or exceed production targets of the Facilities comprising the Fahud NGL Extraction Plant & Pipeline. Provide maintenance services and support for Operations Department to comply with licence to operate requirements, safety, production, plant integrity and process safety, availability, utilization, lean spares inventory, energy consumption, cost, emergency response, and product(s) quality targets to support yearly and longer-term plans and objectives for gross margin and profitability of the business. Apply operational excellence and continuous improvement principles to enhance maintenance effectiveness and business competitiveness. Ensure effective collaboration with other departments and functions in a matrix organization with the vertical line to deliver expected outcomes. Ensure proper organizational capacity for business continuity including mentoring and developing staff with special emphasis on Oman nationals. All in accordance with strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, plans, manuals, processes, procedures, standards, codes, protocols, prudent practices, legal requirements, best international practice generally and to the highest ethical standards 3. RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES HSE Description Responsible for department HSE performance Ensure safe and reliable maintenance by ensuring department staff comply with HSE, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and systems to achieve zero harm to people, assets and environment Lead by example as champion for occupational safety and also process safety including human factors and company resource management (CRM) Strategy & Planning Responsible for maintenance strategy and planning Develop Maintenance Plan to support Five-Year Plan Develop maintenance business plan to deliver maintenance services to achieve O&M Plan for year with targets for availability, reliability and cost Report progress against plans, risks and mitigations, opportunities, challenges and issues, and proactive, reactive and corrective actions Leadership Lead by example with ethical behaviour in all respects, transparency and openness Mentor, coach, guide and lead a motivated, engaged, high performing team to deliver department component of O&M Plan Budget Planning Responsible for Maintenance budget and cost control Develop Maintenance budget (aligned with Operations and O&M Plan) for routine operations and planned turnaround Monitor and control Maintenance OPEX and CAPEX costs against Budget according to set Finance guidelines and standards Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities Deliverables Responsible for maintenance and reliability performance Deliver highest availability and reliability of Facilities through RCM methodology and optimum use of resources to provide appropriate PM or CM maintenance to all equipment and assets to specified targets Regularly review effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance processes and procedures to ensure currency and compliance with standards, codes, protocols, best industry practices, and legislative requirements Champion continuous improvement to identify and implement opportunities to enhance HSE, increase availability, increase reliability, and increase maintenance execution productivity while driving down overall cost Performance Indicator Attend annual CRM training Deliver aligned strategic plan on schedule Deliver business plan on schedule Measured by peer and review Deliver on schedule Costs within Budget limits Implement timely proactive corrective measures Measured by and peer review Talent & Performance 2

3 Responsible for development and performance of Maintenance staff Manage performance of direct and indirect reports including but not necessarily limited to definition of resource requirements, recruiting, training and talent development in accordance with corporate human capital processes and systems; to ensure competent, qualified and highly motivated staff Mentor and develop Oman nationals in accordance with succession plans and Omanization objectives Organization Effectiveness Responsible for fit-for-purpose Maintenance organization Maintain fit-for-purpose processes for work identification, work planning, work scheduling, work execution, work follow-up, performance analysis and other specified maintenance performance indicators Review organization and recommend changes necessary for optimum department effectiveness in anticipation of, or response to, changing operational requirements Reporting Responsible for department reporting Produce accurate and timely routine reports in required forms and formats Produce adhoc reports as required on new opportunities, critical issues, challenges, solutions, etc. to give strategic insight from department perspective Measured by and peer review Staff - KNOW what to do - ABLE to do - WANT to do - EQUIPPED to do Progress Omanization Plan to schedule Defined, approved and implemented. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or approved equivalent Experience Fifteen (1) years relevant maintenance experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Refinery industry including six (6) years experience in similar senior position Cold or cryogenic experience preferred Commissioning and Start-Up experience preferred At discretion experience requirements may be reduced in-lieu of approved training and development program 8.
