1 Position Description: Position Title: Maintenance & Turnaround manager Directorate: Salalah LPG Department: Maintenance & Turnaround Location: Salalah (Permanent) & Sharjah(temporary) Section: Job Level: Senior Management Reports to: Plant Manager Subordinates (Direct/Indirect): 4/32 Job Purpose: Lead the Site Maintenance function in providing both a corrective and preventive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Oversee planned scheduling creation, adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practices and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing longterm strategic plans, by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent Relevant experience in maintenance of a plant (preferably in LPG/LNG /Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals or similar industry) in the areas of mechanical or electrical or control& automation. Relevant professional certification such as CPMM or CMRP or SMRP or SAP Plant maintenance certification is preferred. Experience: 1. Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in managing maintenance engineering functions of Petrochemical, Gas Processing plant preferably LPG/LNG Plants with associated Utilities. 2. Minimum 5 years of experience as Maintenance & Turnaround department head in the facility. 3. Minimum 5 years of experience as Discipline Maintenance & turnaround head in the Maintenance & Turnaround department 4. Knowledge of best practice in predictive and preventive maintenance in Gas Processing plant preferably LNG or LPG Plants with associated Utilities. 5. Experience and understanding of the LPG process and associated Utilities would be an added advantage. 6. Experience in Process Safety Management and engineering documentation control. 7. Experience in conducting/leading complex technical studies or debottlenecking projects is an added advantage. 8. Experience In the application of technical safety, including process safety, in an operations context desired. 9. Advanced understanding and experience of risk management and safe systems of work (essential). 10. Experience of using and leading risk and safety reviews/tools, e.g. PHA s, SIL, LOPA, QRA. 11. Experience of KPI development, monitoring and reporting. 12. Familiarity with International Codes & Standards (API, ASME, NFPA & ANSI) and experience with engineering software s. 13. Excellent Technical Report writing skills - should be able to write independently and concisely. 14. PHA documentation software like PHA Pro / PHA Works etc. Page 1 of 5

Integrity, Maintenance & Turnaround Management System : Mastery in Reliability, Maintenance, Integrity and Turnaround system and ability to lead Maintenance & Integrity team during engineering, construction, commissioning phase and Maintenance & Turnaround team in operate phase of new LPG facility. Strong understanding of International Engineering codes and standards for machines and equipment. Mastery to develop and establish implementation of the sectional policies; procedures; work instructions, communication protocols in line with Organizational requirements and as per codes and regulations followed in SLPG. Mastery in Strong understanding of SAP PM and MM modules, Bentley APM solution, RCM and Computerized Maintenance Management system. Mastery in Maintenance deliverables during detailed engineering i.e. Maintenance Strategy, Sparing Strategy, Corrosion management manual, Vendors deliverable like O&M manual etc. Good knowledge of mechanical/electrical /Instrument /chemical Engineering concepts relevant to the position requirements Mastery in Maintenance & Integrity risk management Mastery in Maintenance & Turnaround Planning, Scheduling, Budget, Cost Estimation & control. Mastery in formulating contracting strategy for specialized vendor service, service level maintenance contracts Strong understanding of Quality management and mastery in human resource management for Maintenance & Turnaround operation. Mastery in OPEX and CAPEX and preparation of financial proposals and approval process Mastery in reporting and setting KPIs, strategy and plan for achieving Maintenance targets. 2. Operation Readiness & Assurance : Ability to contribute effectively as Maintenance Lead for maintenance inputs during detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities of Salalah LPG (SLPG) project. Ability to develop Company Maintenance & Integrity deliverables of Operation Readiness & Assurance system for LPG Plant. Review EPC contractor deliverables and support Commissioning, Construction and Engineering team during execute phase of the project. Ability to develop, plan & monitor Maintenance & Turn around function work process streams activities for Operation readiness of SLPG project. 3. Commissioning & Start-up : Knowledge and experience of Operation readiness, Pre-Commissioning,Commissioning, Initial startup & ramp up activities and requirements Familiarization of project detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre commissioning, commissioning, completion & handover activities 4. First Time Right Program : Familiar with Right First Time concept and activities of key areas i.e. Cleanliness & Preservation, Tightness, Operability& Maintainability, Integrity, Awareness of flaw recurrence during design, construction, pre-commissioning, Commissioning & initial start- up and operation and ability to mitigate the flaws 5. Plant Operation & Management system Good knowledge of LPG plant operation, Jetty & land tanker loading operation for handling of liquid and Gas like Propane, Butane, Condensate Strong knowledge of Operation Management system. 6. Basic Skills: Act as a significant influence on corporate strategy, objectives and vision through the advanced application of core skills and competencies. Play a major role in driving organizational performance, results and future opportunities through the structured development of these skills and competencies within the entire organization. 7. Communication: Proficient in English communication.edit, review and write complex technical documents. Demonstrate solid understanding of basic computer software, as well as ability to utilize dedicated applications. Lead and mentor others in communication. Page 2 of 5

4 Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities are NOT limited to following : A. General Responsibilities: 1.Strategy & Planning: Formulate and recommend operational and technical Inputs and insights to Department strategies, objectives, and expenditures, within approved schedule and frameworks, to ensure business profitability and continuity. Assist in formulating Department KPI s in line with Company performance targets to set attainable and challenging goals and engage employees on main business results and targets. Cascade down and monitor KPI results and oriented and engage employees on continued commitment to overcome constraints and difficulties to obtain expected results. 2. Policies, Process & Procedures: Assist on formulation or Improvement of policies, procedures, and process, in line with company requirement and Board orientations to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Apply and monitor adherence to approved Company policies, procedures, and processes so that work is carried out in a controlled manner and in line with company requirements and Board orientations. 3. Compliance with Standards & Regulations: Ensure that lead area conducts its activities with integrity, honesty, and accountability by complaining with the Company Code of Business, all legal provisions and approved business standards. 4. Continuous Improvement {Management of Change): Identify and implement in the lead area initiatives for eliminate activities that do not add value to the business, reduce costs and increased operational efficiency and enhancing the Company's competitiveness. Contribute to Department "Management of Change" by Identifying and Implementing proactive actions to continuous Improve processes, systems and practices taking into account changes In the business environment and international best practices. 5. Minimize Risks: Formulate and recommend operational and technical Inputs and insights to Department Risk Management Plan with identification, assessment, and mitigation plans, within approved schedule and frameworks, to minimize risks impacts and ensure business continuity. Ensure in lead area that risks taken are within the parameters set by the Board and all actions in its scope of responsibility are according with practices and standards of the Company. 6. Health, Safety & Environment: Ensure strictly safe and healthy conditions across the lead area by all employees, suppliers, or visitors in day to day operation through strict compliance with the rules of minimizing risks and increasing safety. Ensure strictly respect for the environment and preservation of natural resources used in day to day operation by the strict compliance with environmental rules and resource economy. 7. People Management: Monitor in lead area the employees adherence to Human Resource pollutes and procedures including attendance, leave, working hours, etc. to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled manner and in Line with company requirements and Board orientations. Perform individual target settling, formal and informal feedback and appraisal, coach, and mentoring (especially to Omani nationals), to maximize subordinate motivation, performance, and knowledge transfer. 5 B. Specific Responsibilities: JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Lead the maintenance of owned facilities as and when required as well ensures that the owned facilities are working as per requirements by providing regular maintenance. 2. Provide technical leadership for maintenance processes in the plant and other SMC owned facilities as well as provide guidance to the Maintenance Department and other Departments for resolution of maintenance related problems. 3. Developing and implementing of the Maintenance Department annual schedule to conduct thoroughly researched preventative and predictive maintenance programs. 4. To delivery of repair and break-down services by conducting root cause analysis for the Plant equipment while ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines and equipment specifications with an objective to improve equipment s long term reliability. 5. Lead the scoping, budgeting, scheduling and execution of major turnarounds and minor Plant improvement projects and projects for owned plant equipment/buildings and other structures. 6. Liaising and coordination with Reliability and Operations Department to ensure maintenance and repair work is conducted based on any identified improvements. 7. Oversee the purchase, storage and usage of inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment to ensure availability of critical Plant equipment and owned facilities. 8. Oversee the coordination with the Procurement Department regarding RFP development, provide product specifications and the conduct technical assessment of products, equipment and spare parts required for Plant and owned facilities. 9. Assuming other duties and responsibilities as may be required due to changing circumstances in the economic and physical environment of the Plant. 10. To develop, manage and implement of the Plant maintenance programs based on the good practices followed in the methanol industry, standards/codes followed in SMC and Governmental regulations. 11. Oversee that that all asset (Plant equipment/building and other structures) modifications/changes/ additions are performed in compliance with existing design standards in Plant and owned facilities. 12. Direct, maintain and enforce the HSE program for the Maintenance Department as per the HSE policies and procedures of SMC. 13. Oversee the collection and analysis of maintenance related data, prepare reports and make recommendations for improving Plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems and improving uptime. 14. Liaising and coordination with Operations Department to ensure maintenance and repair work is conducted without impacting the production process. Page 5 of 5
