1 Shipping Prcedure Instructins Brazilian Custms Legislatin (Decree # 6.759/2009, articles 557 t 562 and respective items and paragraphs) establishes requirements that must be fully cmplied by the imprters fr custms clearance purpse. In rder t cmply with Brazilian legislatin, all shipments MUST be in accrdance with instructins a fllw click here. Please READ carefully and cmply with the shipment instructins because Nn accmplishment f the requirements will lead t penalties and payment f fines by the imprter (Federal Taxes Revenues Receita Federal d Brasil ) A. COMMERCIAL INVOICE AND PACKING LIST ISSUANCE a. At least tw (2) ORIGINAL COMMERCIAL INVOICE, PACKING LISTS, BL/AWB and CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN (when necessary) are required t be delivered t the Freight Frwarder r carrier while delivering the carg. b. Please send COPY COMMERCIAL INVOICE,PACKING LIST, BL/AWB and CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN (when necessary) t yur 3M cntact c. Fr cuntries with Free Trade Agreement (Ex: Mercsur) please als send COPY f CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN t yur 3M cntact d. All dcuments must be readable. Nte that: All Cmmercial Invices must be riginal and signed, preferably, in blue ink, by a legal representative f the exprter, vendr r supplier (fr instance, cmpany's directrs) r by sme ther persn wh has Pwer f Attrney (POA) fr signing invices n behalf f the exprter. Original invice signed by exprter r its legal representative is mandatry fr clearance f the gds, therwise, the gds will be subject t seizure by custms. All signatures n the invices must be fully identified (persn s cmplete name and psitin in the Cmpany). COMMERCIAL INVOICE MUST CONTAIN: Exprter's full name and address, cmpany lg; Bill & Ship T address (Imprter's full name and address); Cmmercial Invice Number and Date; Payment terms and currency; Sales payment cnditins (INCOTERM/2010); Cuntry f Origin f the gds: Cuntry where prducts were manufactured r where they were submitted t last substantial transfrmatin. Cuntry f acquisitin: It s cnsidered the cuntry where the gds were when acquired by imprter t be exprted t Brazil, regardless f their cuntry f rigin and their materials r raw materials; Shipping cuntry f the gds: It s cnsidered the cuntry where the gds were n the mment f their acquisitin; Cmplete and detailed descriptin f the gds, including: shipped quantity, unit f measure, mark, brand, type, mdel, serial number, 3M ID r part number, scientific name, cmmercial name, cnditins (New r Used); if the gd is used it is mandatry t infrm its manufacturing year; and any ther infrmatin available fr perfect identificatin and classificatin f the gds in accrdance with Harmnized Tariff Cde (HTC); Unit price and amunt fr each kind f the gd and, if there are, the quantity and the nature f reductins and discunts prvided by exprter; Net unit weight fr each item f invice; Marks and reference numbers f the vlumes, when available;

2 Ttal quantity and type f the vlumes; Ttal Grss and Net Weight in kg; Cst f internatinal freight prepaid and ther expenses regarding t the gds specified in the invice. Nte: Whenever the internatinal freight be paid by imprter in Brazil (Freight Cllect), its value shall nt be infrmed in the invice. Manufacturer s Cmplete Name and Address, when different frm the Exprter; Hand Signature in BLUE INK; Purchase Order Number; Bank Infrmatin; (This infrmatin is required by 3M Brazil, if it is nt pssible t include in invice, please send via t yur 3M cntact r attach in anther dcument with invice) Lack f required infrmatin will be subject t payment f fines by the imprter. Fr each missing piece f infrmatin, the imprter will pay BRL (tw hundred Reais); Imprt Declaratin (ID) in SISCOMEX System (Custms System) registered with incrrect infrmatin will be als subject t payment f fine: 1% (ne percent) ver Custms Value, with a minimum value f BRL (five hundred Reais). The maximum value fr this fine is 10% (ten percent) ver ttal Custms Value (CIF) f the Imprt Declaratin (ID); PACKING LIST MUST CONTAIN: Cmpany Lg; Number Packing List and issued date Bill & Ship T address; Purchase Order Number; 3M ID r Part Number; Quantity Shipped; Grss and net weight per item; Ttal Grss and Net Weight in Kg; Number f Vlumes; Vlumes Dimensins and Unit f Measure; It is recmmended infrm the respective number f invice in the packing list B. PARTS IDENTIFICATION All packaging must be prperly and fully identified (LABEL) with 3M s PO#, Quantity and Number f Vlumes. Ex: 3 vlumes: 1/3, 2/3, 3/3. C. GENERAL INFORMATION Please send the Certificate f Analysis t: 3m-certificads@mmm.cm

3 Fr AIR SHIPMENTS ensure that the flight ends in VCP and des nt pass thrugh GRU OR the final f destinatin is GRU. Fr OCEAN SHIPMENTS, final destinatin must be SSZ (Sants Prt Sants Brazil Terminal). The freight Frwarder must be infrmed if the carg is stackable r nt. Please ship nly 5 cntainers per B/L. D.ATTENTION Nn-cmpliance f any f abve requirements will cause prblems fr payment remittance and/r causes fines with Brazilian Custms. If yur cmpany is nt able t cmply with any f thse instructins, please infrm yur cntact at 3M d Brasil Ltda. Please d nt frget t infrm in yur Cmmercial Invice the Payment Infrmatin (Bank name, Full Address, Accunt number, Swift Cde r ABA number) Fr EXW Incterm EXPORT DATE n PO means carg available fr pick-up. Wden pallets need t be fumigated. There must be a stamp n the pallet and the certificate f fumigatin must be sent alng with ther dcuments (cpy nly). Sme materials require Imprt License. Withut this License, 3M Brazil cannt receive the material, and penalties will be charged. S, 3M needs t have the cpy f the Invice befre the shipment t require Imprt License. When Imprt License is required, 3M will infrm yu, and then yu must wait fr 3M infrmatin t ship the gds (This Imprt License might take sme days t be released). E. BILL TO & SHIP TO ADDRESS AND NOTIFY PARTY: Please use 3M lcatin data infrmed n Purchase Order. F. INVOICE EXAMPLE: Dwlad Invice Example G. II, pint b1 - Law Carg seizure Dwnlad Shipping Instructins GOODS PACKED WITH WOODEN MATERIAL The prcedure effective date is February 1 st Brazilian Ministry f Agriculture, Livestck and Supply (MAPA) have established new inspectin prcedures and phytsanitary certificatin fr gds packed with wden material, in rder t reduce the intrductin and spreading f pests in Brazil. This new regulatin (IN 32/2015) affects all carges (imprted int Brazil Prts and Airprts) and it is based n ISPM 15 (Internatinal Standards Fr Phytsanitary Measures Nº 15). IMPORTANT AND URGENT: 1. If the presence f live pests is detected r any sign f active infestatin f them, Brazilian Custms CAN DEMAND RETURN OF CARGO / CONTAINER TO ORIGIN COUNTRY (Article # 32 f IN in reference) and additinal csts. 2. It is mandatry that all wden material either has an IPPC stamp accrding ISPM 15 r yu must hands ut a phytsanitary certificatin. IPPC stands fr Internatinal Plant Prtectin Cnventin a. Wden Material means all ther wden material invlved n air/cean shipment, including supprt made f wd fr blcking carg inside cntainers 3. It is very imprtant fr us that yu understand that nn-cmpliance with this regulatin will cause delays at destinatin Brazilian prt as well as extra csts will ccur at destinatin (heat treatment required by BR Custms, extra strage csts, extra demurrage csts, extra cntainer chemical cleaning csts etc..). DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS:

5 Freight Frwarders will likely request infrmatin abut wden packages, pieces f wd fr blcking carg inside cntainer and ther pssible wd material invlved n shipments with Brazil destinatin. Please prvide the Wden Packing Material details fr all carges destined t Brazil, by the time yu submit the Shipping Instructin. Please see type f infrmatin required: If the package material includes wden material, then shw ne f the fllwing statements: 1. Wden package: Treated and certified (The materials have been treated and/r fumigated with certificate) 2. Wden package: Prcessed (The materials have been prcessed) 3. Wden package: Nt-treated and nt-certified (The materials have nt been treated nr fumigated, and is withut certificate) If there is n declaratin f Wden Packing Material in the Shipping Instructin, the Freight Frwarder will assume it as Nt Applicable and this assumptin may cause delays at destinatin If the package material des NOT include wden material then shw the fllwing statement: Wden package: Nt Applicable SUMMARIZING: Fr cuntries participating in ISPM 15: All wden material must have IPPC trademark r Phytsanitary Certificatin Fr cuntries NOT participating in ISPM 15: All wden material must have Phytsanitary Certificatin r Wden Treatment Certificatin stamped by ONPF (Natinal Plant Prtectin Organizatin)
