References Purpse The purpse f this specificatin is t ensure that dcumentatin, packaging and delivery f custmer supplied dry gds cnfrm t the requirements f Vinpac s standards. Guidance Our experienced staff members are available t answer any queries regarding the cntent f this specificatin. All queries regarding the requirements f this specificatin shuld be directed thrugh the custmer s Accunt Manager. The Vinpac Drygds Team Leader can als be cntacted fr advice n Respnsibility It is the respnsibility f custmers t ensure that the packaging and delivery f their dry gds meet the requirements f this dcument. This allws the delivery t be crrectly received and accurately identified and tracked with Vinpac s warehuse and prductin facilities. The custmer and supplier are respnsible t ensure gds are adequately prtected, packaged and delivered in their prper cnditin withut damage r cntaminatin. Requirements All gds must be clean and cntaminatin free when delivered. All deliveries are signed fr in the gd faith that there are n discrepancies; the signature is nt cnfirmatin that the quantities delivered are crrect. 1

2 All dcumentatin attached t deliveries shall cmpletely free frm staples and ther metal fastening devices. Staples are nt permitted n dcumentatin r packaging in ur prductin warehuse. General Chep r Lscam pallets shall be in gd cnditin fr all stck deliveries t Vinpac Internatinal (excluding glass). Pallets will be transferred t the fllwing accunts: Vinpac Angastn Chep Lscam Vinpac McLaren Vale Chep Lscam All Cartns r prduct shall be shrink wrapped t the pallet fr transprting with n verhang. Standard 1165mm square pallets are preferred (except fr glass bttles and P.E.T. cntainers). Any ther sizes may incur extra handling csts. Maximum pallet height is 1.4m (includes pallet and prduct). Limit f 1 GTIN per pallet. Small quantities can be mixed (i.e. less than 1 layer f prduct). Quantities greater than 1 layer per pallet must be delivered n individual pallets. If prduct is being delivered in even layer quantities, then each layer shuld have its wn pallet. All bxes n the same pallet are t have the same quantity per bx, if a part bx is included, this must be clearly marked n the bx and dcumentatin. If spacer bxes are used n a pallet t create even layers, then these bxes must be clearly marked n the pallet and dcumentatin. All delivery dcumentatin shall have the supplier name and address, Vinpac prduct cdes, prduct descriptin, quantities, custmer name and rder number and weight f gds. 3 Pressure Sensitive Labels Strage f labels is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can result in damage t the labels. If handled and stred incrrectly labels can be damaged and will nt dispense autmatically. Labels shuld nt be stred near a rm heating surce, transprted in direct sunlight r expsed t misture. Each cartn shall be labelled with: Custmer/Vinpac cde and Prduct Descriptin. Quantity f labels supplied. Barcde. Heat Shrink Capsules Strage f capsules is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can result in damage t the capsules. If handled and stred incrrectly capsules can be damaged and will nt dispense autmatically. Capsules shuld nt be stred near a rm heating surce r transprted in direct sunlight as heat may pre-shrink the capsules. Quantities per cartn. Supplier name, batch number and prductin date fr traceability. Muselets Strage f Muselets is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can damage the Muselets. If handled and stred incrrectly they can be damaged and will nt dispense autmatically. Quantities per cartn. Supplier name, batch number and prductin date fr traceability. Crk Natural, Technical and Synthetic Strage f Crks is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can damage the crks. Packaging must include misture prf wrapping suitable t maintain the stck at useable misture levels until the stated use-by date. Packaging must nt cntain any hazardus cntaminatin, including dust r insects. In additin t the requirements in General the delivery dcket shall cntain: 3

4 Use by Date. Batch number. Crk descriptin, Size & Grade. Vinpac custmer crk cde. Crk cde nted n bags must be the same cde as supplied n the uter cartns and paperwrk. Packing descriptin breakdwn (ie: 2 x 1,000, 1 x 500). Ttal quantity f crks supplied and number f cartns delivered. Each crk bag t be tagged (in English) with the fllwing infrmatin: Prduct cde. Treatment date. Use by date. Quantity enclsed. Batch number. Grade type. Size. Screw Cap Clsures Strage f clsures is critical t the stability and prduct perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can damage the caps. Packaging must nt cntain any cntaminatin, including dust r insects. Quantities per cartn. Supplier name, batch number and prductin date fr traceability. Cartn Barcde Sticker Strage f labels is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can result in damage t the labels. If handled and stred incrrectly labels can be damaged and will nt dispense autmatically. 5 Cartns All cartns are t be strapped in t bundles f 25 using nly a single strap, then stacked n pallets. Multiple straps arund bundles, r ther wrapping like paper r plastic, are nt suitable fr use n ur autmated bttling lines (refer figure 1). Plylaminate Sparkling Hds and Plylam/Tin Caps Strage f Hds/Caps is critical t the stability and perfrmance. Gds must nt be stacked n tp which can damage them. 6 Quantify f hds/caps per cartn. Vinpac Prduct Cde. Grss Weight. Glass Bttles including Decrated Glass Bttles and P.E.T. Cntainers Packaging f bttles is critical t fd safety, prduct perfrmance and applicatin. Packaging must nt cntain any hazardus cntaminatin, including dust, muld r insects. The prtective pallet shrink wrapping must ensure the bttles are kept clean, free f dirt, free f freign materials. It shall be dust prf, insect and misture resistant and UV stable as glass pallets may be stred utside at Vinpac. Bttles must be kept stable during shipment and strage. Interlayers must be f a clean cntaminatin resistant material, ideally made f plastic, which is washed befre use, using fd grade cleaning material. They must be strng enugh t prvide stability t the pallet in all temperatures. Pallets and dividers must be able t be autmatically handled by Vinpac s sweep depalletisers. Pallet size t be 1420 mm x 1090 mm x 132 mm thick. Tlerance allwed in length and width are ± 5 mm and in thickness + 4 mm/ 8 mm. Gaps between tp bards nt t be greater than 15 mm. Pallets must be able t bear enugh lad that they can be stacked 4 high fr strage. Full pallets are t be n higher than 1400mm (includes the height f the pallet and height f bttles). Metal straps r straps with metal clamps are nt t be used. Each individual pallet f bttles shall display a tag identifying: Manufacture r custmer cde. Bttle clur. Quantity. Prductin date. Prductin time. Pallet number. Fr decrated bttles the Glass manufacturer s pallet tag shall be replaced nt riginal pallet fr traceability. Fr P.E.T. Cntainers Pallet alert tags stating n expsure t sunlight r heat. Prir t rganizing a first delivery f glass pallets t Vinpac please cntact yur Accunt Manger t discuss glass pallet packaging and determine if a trial will be required. Any pallets that cannt be unladed thrugh the autmatic depalletisers will be unladed by hand. An extra charge will be incurred fr hand depalletising f bttles. 6
