3 ROLE SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND Working under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate and develop innovative revenue streams for the union that also add to the student experience. The role will include coordinating stall bookings, a range of events and private hire bookings. Coordinating current and researching potential new sponsorship deals and media advertising bookings. Plus, leading marketing campaigns for the organisation s commercial outlets to increase awareness and sales. The successful candidate will be a creative yet organised sales and marketing professional, able to balance the demands of revenue targets with the organisation s mission and values. 4 JOB SPECIFICATION Job title: Department: Salary: Hours of work: Responsible to: Supervision: Purpose of post: Sales and Marketing Coordinator Marketing and Communications 18,940-22,494 per annum Full time 37 hours per week Marketing and Communications Manager Student Interns (as and when required) Working under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager to coordinate and develop revenue streams for the union. Coordinating stall bookings, events and private hire. Generating creative ideas to market DSU s commercial outlets to increase awareness and sales. Main Duties and Responsibilities Coordination of sponsorship deals and media booking CRM of current sponsors Research and development of new sponsorship leads NUS Extra card sales coordination Run campaigns to increase revenue in this area Sales reporting Stall and marketing sales generation and coordination CRM of current customers Research and development of new customer leads Research of competitors and pricing Researching and implementing additional revenue streams Coordination of the commercial freshers fair Campaign support for all commercial arms Social media coordination and development for commercial arms Control and schedule relevant content for commercial arms Content management and revenue development of the new TV system Coordination of the Freshers Rep system Recruitment of Freshers Reps Timetabling and coordination of Freshers Reps during the Freshers period Assistance with the organisation of non-alcoholic based events throughout the year Supporting the new DSU e-commerce system Any other associated or similar duties that may be necessary from time to time as determined by the Marketing and Communications Manager This job specification is subject to alteration after consultation with the post holder following any change in circumstances.
