2 PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE Why does the role exist? This position exists to provide high level support to the Commercial and Industrial Business Advisors including direct engagement with external and internal stakeholders. The position is required to act as the Commercial or Industrial Business Advisors in growing, maintaining volumes of natural gas to customers that are either on the Tasmanian or Victorian networks or are a viable network extension when the incumbent is away for any reason. This position requires direct engagement and appropriate interaction with existing and potential Industrial & Commercial Customers, internal stakeholders including the provision of the timely analysis of information to internal and external customers, the I&C roles and the commercial team. This role is considered as a pathway to higher level roles in the business. Requirement to travel intra/interstate? Yes No KEY RESULT AREA ACCOUNTABILITIES What are the key roles this position interacts with on a regular basis? 1. Leadership Build and maintain appropriate relationships with external and internal stakeholders Respond professionally and appropriately to internal / external customer queries 2. Operations Act in the role of Commercial Development Advisor or Industrial Development Advisor or Co-ordinator Connections & Billing in the absence of either incumbent due to leave or other business requirements. Support the EVN project by providing appropriate support to the Commercial Development Advisor and Industrial Development Advisor or Co-ordinator Connections & Billing as required. Understand competitor activity (Gases, Liquids & Renewables), maintain an appropriate database including forecasting, provide reporting and response strategies as required to the business. Analyse and prepare reports for Industrial & Commercial customers as required. Maintain an appropriate database of historic information and forecast future potential outcomes. Analyse monthly/annual gas flows and develop financial budgets, accruals and reforecasts for Mass Market & I&C customers. Continue to add commercial work instructions, review internal processes to ensure best practice is achieved. Interpret data and analysis including the preparation of adhoc reports to the I&C Business Advisors & Billing Team Leader as Template: BMSDOC , Version 4.0 Page 2 of 7

Responsible for the preparation of regular (monthly, quarterly & annual) reporting requirements, internal and external, ensure reporting is provided accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner. Assist the Commercial team with the coordination and administration of projects. Assist in evaluating the impact of government policy changes. Understand and analyses various government grants and assistance packages as they become available to industry that may be useful in developing the natural gas market. Support to the Connection/billing area (as required). Other duties as required to support the Commercial team s functions. Manage the Internal Connection Request (ICR) process including monthly meetings. Develop financial models to assess the viability of customer connections (residential/commercial/industrial), subdivision rollouts and network extensions. Prepare business models, evaluate and prepare sanctions for expenditure for projects that met business thresholds. Involvement in roll-outs into residential/commercial subdivisions, network extensions including investigating costs/viability/prepare financial models & sanctions, and liaise with developer s councils and other stakeholders Complete post-sanction reviews 12 months after completion of project, and prepare report for discussion with stakeholders. Liaise with consultants on large commercial customer connections, including possible network extensions Liaise with natural gas retailers in relation to customer issues, status of current jobs, approved extensions/subdivisions/developments. Ensure the TGN & EVN websites are current and initiate changes as required. Involvement in the rollout of Power spring (customer access to metering data) to external stakeholders Direct involvement with EVN with marketing, extensions, subdivisions, commercial enquiries and applications related to the Victorian Regional Energy project.
