1 FA R-0014 FTEV , Alter Area for 19 SOS Sim Parts Storage Bldg Questions & Answers Question 1 Please clarify the extents of removal of pipe with asbestos containing insulation shown on sheet D-101. At the site visit it was evident the 75 long section of piping shown in the plans at the West end does not exist. Only the North section of pipe remains. However, that section of pipes extends beyond the 135 shown on D-101, actually going into another area of the building through an interior wall drawing M-101 appears to show the existing layout more accurately. So the question is; do we price removing only the existing North section of pipes up-to approximately 135 ft? Or do we include demo of the complete extent of pipes as required per Note 7 on M-101? If it is the latter then we will need actual dimensions of the extent of piping since sheet M-101 does not show all of it. Answer 1 75 portion shown on west wall of D-101 does not exist. Remove only 135 section shown on D-101. Sheets D-101 and M-101 have been revised to reflect the scope of work. Question 2 On Drawing A150, the wall base indicated is 4 while the Specs (096500) Section 2.2 indicates 6. Please verify which height is required. Answer 2 Specifications section updated to reflect 4. Question 3 Answer 3 In Section K of Solicitation on page 24 of 55, it says that the small business size standard is $33,500,000. Should this be $35,500,000? The size standard is actually $36.5M. This will be corrected on the solicitation Question 4 In Sections L and M of solicitation, there are references to Section , paragraphs 1.01 and This section and these paragraphs are not found in the solicitation documents. Is there a section missing?

Please clarify what the LEED requirements are. Are they only the BD+C requirements described in Section and Section ? Synopsis is for information only and is not a part of the contract documents. Scope of work is contained in design drawings and specifications. The FBO synopsis for this procurement includes the following sentences: Includes minimum DOD force protection standards. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DOD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) , General Building Requirements and UFC , High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. This project will comply with DOD anti-terrorism/force protection requirements per UFC Please clarify what the AT/FP requirements are. Synopsis is for information only and is not a part of the contract documents. Scope of work is contained in design drawings and specifications. Please provide as-builts for existing facility. We have some serious concerns about cutting the existing exterior tilt up pre tensioned wall panels for increasing the OH door size. As built drawings reflect the precast panel is a normally reinforced wall. Sheet S-300 Detail 3, New Wall Opening Detail, has been revised to reflect. Provide opening as depicted in detail. The drawings call for Access Controls conduit and boxes to be installed at the new door locations. Will these be required to be connected to an existing system in the building or are raceways all that will be required? Access Control includes only boxes and conduits with pull string running to Rm 100 (Open Office) as stated in Legend on Sheet T-001. There is no connection to existing system. At the site visit we noticed a security camera located in the proposed work area. The drawings do not have any scope listed for Closed Circuit Television. Will there be any CCTV or Security System requirements included in this project? The security camera located in the proposed work area will be removed before the construction contract is awarded. As stated in the Legend on

3 Sheet T-001, the camera (CCTV) scope of work only includes junction boxes and conduit with pull string. There are no other security system requirements. Question 10 Answer 10 Question 11 At the site visit, it was stated that the (2) existing elevated pods would be removed by others prior to this project. These are not noted on the drawings. What (if anything) will be required under this contract for any demo, rework, new construction, etc after these pods are removed by others? Any associated structural, telecom, electrical scopes or other required? Existing equipment and temporary buildings will be removed before contract start. All work is shown on drawings and specifications. B90710 is currently under renovations, please provide the scope of work for this project and/or advise of any facility modifications that may affect this solicitations scope of work. Answer 11 See answer to question 10. Question 12 Answer 12 Question 13 Please advise if there are any known contaminated soils that would require regulated disposal within the construction limits of this solicitation. There are no known contaminated soils. It was noticed during the site visit that the asbestos piping to be removed differed from what was shown on the drawings. Please provide the total LF that the contractor should assume to be abated for this project. Answer 13 See answer to Question 1. Question 14 Answer 14 Question 15 Answer 15 Spec section para TAB Specialist Responsibilities states that the TAB Specialist must participate in the commissioning process. However, there is no commissioning specification provided in the solicitation. Please confirm that HVAC commissioning is not required. Commissioning is not required for this project. Specification (page 8) revised to reflect The solicitation includes the Plastic Laminate Clad Architectural Cabinets spec, please advise what this spec is related to as there doesn't appear to be any cabinetry/casework included in this scope of work. There is no Plastic Laminate Clad Architectural Casework required. Specification Section is not applicable and will be removed from the Contract Documents.

Question 17 Sheet A-111 Keynote 15 states that the bollards will be 6 diameter galvanized steel pipe, 6 high, filled with concrete with a rounded concrete top. It also references detail 3/A-502 which shows 4 exposed above ground and 3 below for a total of 7. Sheet A-112 Keynote 10 states 6 high embedded 3 through existing slab/payment for a total of 9. From what I had read in other areas I thought the bollards inside would have a base plate and be bolted down but not according to this statement. Also, Bollard Details 4/S-300 shows 4 exposed above ground with 3 ½ below ground for a total of 7 ½. Please clarify which direction to take with these.. Answer 18 Bollards inside are to be bolted down, per Sheet S-300 Detail 4. Bollards outside are to be embedded below ground. Sheets A-11, A-112, A-502, and A-503 updated to reflect. Question 19 Answer 19 Question 20 Answer 20 Since there is already a fence around the building will we have to construct one for the project also? The existing fence may be utilized to enclose the contractor staging/laydown area. I would like to confirm when the bid bond needs to be submitted. Some notes in the solicitation state the bid bond should be submitted early prior to bid proposal. Normally the bid bond is submitted with the bid proposal. Can you please clarify when the bid bond should be submitted? You can send the bonds any time prior to the proposal due date. For clarification purposes, your bid bond cannot be submitted after the due date/time. You may submit it early or you may submit it with your proposal, but it cannot be submitted late (after proposal due date/time).

5 Question 21 Answer 21 We saw the proposal due date as 07Aug and 08Aug depending on which document we reviewed. Can you please confirm proposal due date and time? The due date on the solicitation is 7 August at I just saw that FBO.gov has 8 August listed. I'm going to change both to 9 August to give enough time to review all of the revisions which will be posted shortly.
