1 ADDENDUM NO. 2 To all holders of Contract Documents for the construction of: ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS for MONTESSORI OF THE RIO GRANDE CHARTER SCHOOL Please note this Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies them in the manner and extent set forth below. All other contents, terms, and conditions of the Documents remain unchanged. 1. P R O J E C T M A N U A L DIVISION 7 THERMAL AND MOISTURE PROTECTION A. Section METAL ROOF AND WALL SYSTEM 1. Revise Section as follows: 2.2 BOARD INSULATION POLYISOCYANURATE A. Type: Unfaced faced, closed cell polyisocyanurate insulation board, ASTM C591 C1289, Type II. B. Minimum compressive strength: psi. C. Board size: 48 by 96 inches by thicknesses required to provide insulation thickness indicated on Drawings. D. Maximum water absorption: percent by volume in accordance ASTM D2842 C209. E. 3 3. C L A R I F I C A T I O N S 1. See Bidder questions and answers 2. See revised drawings this addendum. 4. B I D D E R Q U E S T I O N S + A N S W E R S 1. According to the electrical drawings (E201A) the two automatic door openers located on doors V01.1/V01.2 and V03.1/V03.2 seem to operate independently from one another. Please confirm that two separate buttons will be required in each vestibule. A. Correct. Vestibules act as an air-lock. 2. At the two active card reader locations (V01.1 and V03.1) where will the 120v power be tied into? Will this need to be a dedicated circuit or can it be tied into the closest power (i.e. the automatic door operator)? A. Yes. Power is indicated for access control on the power plan, keyed note Power requirements were not seen for WH-3, WH-4 or WH-5. Please provide. A. Addressed in this addendum. Please see revised sheet E201B. 4. Card reader R.I. is called out at every exterior door. The typical Rough-In detail for Access Control says to run a ¾ conduit (typical) for power hinge. If applicable. Please confirm every exterior door should have rough-in provided for future power transfer hinges or electric strikes. A. Exterior doors that require access are indicated on the Power Plans. Typical rough-in will be for electric strike unless the door unit has a panic device. Then it gets a rough-in on the hinge side. 5. Should exterior door frames/doors be prepped for future install of power transfers? If so please clarify if doors will operate using an electric strike or an ELR. A. See answer #4. 6. Are you requiring Floor Flatness and Floor Levelness Testing? If so, who pays for this? A. Yes. Please refer to , 1.03.B.2.c/d and , 3.4 TOLERANCES. The Owner pays for testing, the GC must coordinate with testing agency and conduct this test before anything is placed on the slab. The test requires a long lead time and the GC shall be responsible for accommodating the testing agencies schedule. 7. No irrigation controllers or hotboxes were seen for the landscape. It is assumed all irrigation will tie into an existing controller. If APS on-call is going to add or update the school s controller, please confirm if new data lines and or power will be required. A. Existing controller is wired to receive changes from this scope of work. No additional wiring anticipated. 8. Please provide power requirements for the PV monitor located in Rm 127. A. Addressed in this addendum. Please see revised sheet A412, E301B, and SK-PV-1 9. Please confirm that per APS Mech. Design Standards we will need to provide Bollards around the gas meters/regulators. A. Yes. Bollards are indicated on AS101. Additional bollards were added around the fire equipment and HotBox on Addendum # Again per APS Mech. Design Standards, all the site fire protection piping is required to be ductile iron. Do we need to restrain all joints? A. Addressed in this addendum. Please see revised sheet C103. Both 4" and 6" fire lines shall be ductile iron pipe Class 50. Restrained joints will be required at all pipe-to-fitting connections except where a minimum length of 18' of pipe is provided to the nearest pipe- ADDENDUM.002 Page - 3

4 to-pipe joint. All pipe joints will be required to be restrained within 46' of a 6" valve and within 32' of a 4" valve. 11. A new 6 fireline is indicated on plan sheets P102a and P102b. This line does not show up on plan sheet C103. We understand to cap where indicated if Bid Lot 3 is not accepted. A. Please refer to Sheet C103. The 6 fireline runs along the north property line, then feeds the fire riser room Mech. 125B. From there it runs west to feed Mech. 117A. If Bid Lot is not accepted, this line will be capped. 12. It appears there are gaps in the Swiss Pearl panels. The Tyvek is not rated to withstand UV. Please provide an alternative Building Wrap. A. The system is a concealed installation. No building wrap will be exposed. This is addressed in this addendum. Please see revised A203 and A506 for details. 5. P R I O R A P P R O V A L S Substitutions: The following manufacturers have been approved for use on the project. Approval is for manufacturers only. The supplier / manufacturer shall be responsible for compliance with specified product performance criteria and compatibility with specific project design requirements. Architect will have sole discretion on determination of equivalency.
