1 AL-SI-02 ASPHALT PLAY AREA UPGRADE AL-SI-09 CURB RAMP ADDITIONS Asphalt improvements needed around building and playshed to provide a safe play area. Curb ramps needed to provide wheelchair access and to meet ADA requirements. AL-SI-14 IRRIGATION SYSTEM UPGRADE Connection of irrigation system to the school s energy management system will reduce water consumption and utility costs. AL-SI-17 PAVEMENT MARKING UPGRADE New pavement markings needed for traffic control, disabled parking stalls and pedestrian safety. AL-SI-22 SANITARY SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT New sewer line from building to street needed to replace existing line that is failing and requires frequent maintenance. 2 AL-EX-05 PLAYSHED WALL IMPROVEMENTS AL-EX-06 ROOF FALL ARREST ANCHOR ADDITION Exterior wall improvements at playshed needed to replace damaged siding and deteriorated wall structure. Fall arrest anchors needed at roof to provide protection for workers performing inspections and roof maintenance. AL-EX-09 WOOD TRIM REPLACEMENT New wood trim needed at edge of roofs to replace existing trim that is deteriorated. AL-EX-10 SKYLIGHT UPGRADE New structurally-rated skylight needed to replace existing skylight that is vulnerable to collapse if stood upon. AL-EX-11 ROOF UPGRADE SHINGLES New roof shingles needed to replace existing shingles that are over 20 years old and failing. 3 AL-EQ-02 CLASSROOM TACKBOARD ADDITIONS AL-EQ-03 COMPUTER FURNITURE UPGRADE Additional tackboards needed in five classrooms to provide adequate space for classroom displays. Computer furniture needed to properly accommodate students and computer equipment. AL-EQ-04 DESK FURNITURE UPGRADE New desks needed for teachers and office staff to replace existing desks that are over 35 years old and lack needed features. AL-EQ-08 ADA SIGNAGE UPGRADE New room signs needed in selected area to replace existing signs that do not meet ADA requirements. AL-EQ-10 PLAYSHED BASKETBALL BACKBOARD UPGRADE Additional basketball backboards in playshed needed for recess and community use. 4 AL-EQ-14 STAFF RESTROOM GRAB BAR ADDITIONS AL-ME-01 AUTOMATIC CONTROLS UPGRADE Vertical grab bars needed in staff restrooms to assist disabled individuals and meet ADA requirements. Improvements to mechanical system controls will reduce maintenance costs, energy consumption and utility costs. AL-ME-02 CO2 CONTROL ADDITION Installation of CO2 controls for the ventilation systems in the Gym and Library will reduce energy consumption and utility costs. AL-ME-03 DUCT LEAKS REPAIR Repair of leaks in the ventilation system ductwork will reduce energy consumption and utility costs. AL-ME-07 OCCUPANCY SENSOR TEMP. CONTROL ADDITION Installation of occupancy sensors for the heating system in Gym and Library will reduce energy consumption and utility costs. 5 AL-ME-10 ROOFTOP AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT AL-ME-11 TESTING, AIR BALANCING, AND COMMISSIONING New air handing units needed to replace existing units that do not function reliably, leak water and require frequent maintenance. Testing and commissioning of mechanical system will improve operations while reducing energy consumption and utility costs. AL-ME-12 WASTE LINE IMPROVEMENTS New sewage waste lines needed to replace existing lines located below the concrete floor that are failing, settling and drain poorly. AL-ME-14 DOMESTIC WATER TANK REPLACEMENT New domestic hot water tanks needed to replace existing water tanks that are failing and cause rust colored water. AL-EL-04 DAYLIGHT CONTROL ADDITION Installation of daylight controls that reduce the use of artificial lighting will also reduce energy consumption and utility costs. 6 AL-EL-07 EXTERIOR LIGHTING LEVEL IMPROVEMENTS AL-EL-08 GYM LIGHTING UPGRADE Additional lighting needed at portions of building exterior for safety and security. Replacement of Gym light fixtures with energy efficient fixtures will reduce energy consumption and utility costs. AL-EL-14 OCCUPANCY SENSOR LIGHTING CONTROL ADDITION Installation of occupancy sensors to control interior lights will reduce energy consumption and utility costs. AL-EL-17 INTERIOR LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS Replacement of interior lights with energy efficient fixtures will improve lighting and reduce energy consumption and utility costs. AL-MD-21 SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSROOM MODERNIZATION A restroom and testing room are needed in the Special Education classroom for use by students with special needs. AL-MD-26 STUDENT RESTROOM IMPROVEMENTS EAST WING New toilets and vertical grab bars needed at student restrooms 401 and 402 to assist the disabled and meet ADA requirements. Modernization needed to increase storage, replace floor, add PE office and backboards, and provide ADA compliant restroom. AL-MD-34 KITCHEN IMPROVEMENTS AL-MD-35 MAIN OFFICE AND HEALTH AREA IMPROVEMENTS Modernization needed to improve kitchen equipment, work area and room surfaces.
