2 NAS wishes to thank Nadhim Zahawi MP Prime Minister s Advisor on Apprenticeships and Joint Chairman of the Apprenticeship Delivery Board for his support of the National Apprenticeship Shows. There has never been a better time to employ an apprentice. Apprenticeships enable companies to grow their own workforce, providing highly-qualified and motivated employees. It s an economic imperative that we increase the number of employers who engage with apprenticeships in order to boost the economy and help businesses grow and become more productive. The National Apprenticeship Show is an excellent way for young people and their parents to meet with top employers who are offering a range of fantastic apprenticeships, face to face, all in one place. It will also enable employers to meet with young talent and the workforce of the future. I would encourage all businesses to consider how employing an apprentice can help them grow. 3 ABOUT THE EVENT Following the success of the first National Apprenticeship Show Milton Keynes we are happy to announce the National Apprenticeship Show London and South East at Sandown Park on 16/17 March The National Apprenticeship Shows exist to promote only apprenticeships and our message is clear apprenticeships work for both candidates and employers alike. We work with government bodies, employers and training providers, raising awareness of the benefits and availability of apprenticeships in potential candidates and their support networks teachers, parents and carers. These events bring targeted applicants to you the employers, colleges and training providers with apprenticeships to offer.

4 HOW DOES IT WORK? It s simple we create a lively, interactive and fun environment where employers and training providers large and small showcase their apprenticeships to young people from the local area.

To ensure an even flow of visitors throughout the event, we have allocated time slots for visitor groups: Tuesday Pre-booked groups from schools and communities. Tuesday Evening opening for parents/carers Wednesday Pre-booked groups from schools and communities Evening Opening The evening session allows engagement with those that influence career choices - namely parents and carers.

HOW WILL WE ATTRACT VISITORS? We will pay them for group travel we will provide a bursary of 2 per young person from year groups 10-13 only.
