KEY TASKS EXPECTED OUTCOMES Financial Modelling Processes Establishing financial modelling processes to determine and monitor financial outcomes relating to Funder health services Maintaining financial modelling processes and software Reporting on data contained in the financial modelling process Funder revenue and expenditure Financial analysis of Funder revenue and expenditure Reporting of Funder revenue and expenditure Risk management of Funder revenue and expenditure Funder and PFO deliverables Providing financial analysis support to the wider PFO team to support business case development Providing financial analysis support to the wider PFO team to support service change Providing financial analysis support to the wider PFO team to support other funder processes Projects Assist Manager Finance & Support Services, Programme Managers and Funding & Development Managers with analysis of various initiatives as required Statutory & Treaty of Waitangi obligations Ensures the professional and political integrity of Auckland and Waitemata DHBs by carrying out all functions in compliance of the Treaty of Waitangi, and by demonstrating a serious commitment to keeping the treaty alive Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 1

4 PERSON SPECIFICATION POSITION TITLE: Financial Analyst MINIMUM Qualification Diploma level qualification in a financial or commercial field (with a bias for accounting) or alternative Experience 3 years experience of financial analysis within a complex financial environment Experience of working with database and complex IS systems Competencies Meet imposed and self-imposed deadlines Good analytical skills Strong computer skills High levels of detail focus and accuracy Knowledge Database manipulation skills PREFERRED Experience of the New Zealand health sector Personal Attributes Shows initiative is willing to take responsibility for own actions and decisions Team player Is willing to learn from others and accept constructive feedback and reflect on own actions Presents professionally and acts as a positive role model for others Displays respect and consideration for others Has detail focus in relation to work Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 4
