2 2016 Capital Construction Bond The following projects have been selected to be offered to 2030 Committee for consideration because the projects: Address an identified need at a school Replace outmoded or obsolete structure(s) Address worn out infrastructure Offer benefit to large portion of student body Provide benefit to the community at large Provide need support for new instructional programs Provide added security to our schools

4 Replacement of Collins Elementary School ar Built: 1935, 1955, 1962, 1965 ze: 41,050 SF Existing, 50,000 SF Proposed proach: Demolition and Replacement In Place with Two Story Structure own Deficiencies: Security concerns due to multiple means of access and blind spots behind structures Aging plumbing including galvanized water pipes, ground water infiltration in sewer pipes, noisy pipes, troublesome septic systems prone to going into alarm Aged HVAC system. Know problems with indoor air quality Drainage issues and high ground water Inefficient building envelop Inadequate exterior lighting Inefficient interior lighting Aged kitchen facility Safety concerns with parent pick up, drop off, bus operations, food deliveries, and refuse collection Inadequate parking for staff Campus building layout evolved over time. Very inefficient for program activities.
