PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES The prfessinal engineering cnsultant s main aim is t assist the client in the design and implementatin f a cst effective engineering installatin that meets his requirements. The engineering cnsultant has gt a strng technical knwledge f engineering regulatins, designs as well as equipment available and is bliged t keep himself infrmed and up t date with all the new technlgies available in the engineering industry. QUALITY CONTROL The quality management plan, f Sebkwa, in general is based n the principles f the Internatinal Standards Organisatin Cde ISO9004 Part 2. Certain aspects pertaining t this cde will have t be mdified r simplified in rder t suit the specific prject and type f installatin. As per the ISO cde, this plan deals primarily with the flw and cntrl f infrmatin and dcumentatin with set prcedures fr all dcumentatin during the design and installatin phases f the prject. It is estimated that buildings cnsume 40-50% f the wrld s energy thrugh their cnstructin and nging peratin Sebkwa is a member f the Green Building Cuncil f Suth Africa which prmtes, encurage and facilitate green building in the Suth African prperty and cnstructin industry thrugh marketbased slutins, by: Prmting the practice f green building in the cmmercial prperty industry Facilitating the implementatin f green building practice by acting as a resurce centre, Enabling the bjective measurement f green building practices by develping and perating a green building rating system, and Imprving the knwledge and skills base f green building in the industry by enabling and ffering training and educatin A green building is a building which is energy efficient, resurce efficient and envirnmentally respnsible- which incrprates design, cnstructin and peratinal practices that significantly reduce r eliminate its negative impact n the envirnment and its ccupants. CONSULTING FEE STRUCTURE Cnsulting engineering fees can be structured as fllws t suit the client and the prject: Nrmal Cnsulting Fee Nrmal cnsulting fees are determined accrding t the guidelines published by the Engineering Cuncil f Suth Africa. These guidelines are available frm the Engineering Cuncil f Suth Africa r n their website: Due t the efficiency and experience f Sebkwa engineers, mst standard designs can be perfrmed at a reduced rate since the design infrmatin and installatin standards have already been created. Hurly Cnsulting Fee the hurly cnsulting fee will be determined as per the rates published by the Engineering Cuncil f Suth Africa. The hurly rate charged fr engineering services will als depend n the cmplexity f the prject. In mst cases Sebkwa may have been invlved in similar prjects and the cmplexity f the prject will nt be cnsidered high. 14. RESOURCES Sebkwa Engineering is prud f the fact that all ur engineering prjects are designed inhuse by ur cmpetent engineers n the latest available cmputers, all netwrked and with industry prven sftware.
