We want the brilliant cntributin that individuals, grups and cmmunities make t imprving the lives f the UK s mst vulnerable children t increase, whether that s thrugh helping us infrmally r in mre structured ways as a fully fledged Barnard s vlunteer. The pssibilities fr increasing vlunteering and cmmunity engagement in Barnard s and diversifying ur vlunteer base are endless but we want t be targeted in ur effrts, building n ur many successes. This strategy sets ut ur future visin fr vlunteering and cmmunity engagement ver the next five years and what we will d t achieve it. It s bld and ambitius, but I als think it s exciting and inspiring. Withut ur and the cmmunities that supprt us, s much f what we d fr the UK s mst vulnerable children wuld nt be pssible. We want the experience f supprting Barnard s, whether as a helper, a fundraiser r a vlunteer, t be utstanding and inspiratinal. We have cmmitted t building n ur strng fundatins ver the next five years by: Feeling I am ding smething wrthwhile; learning new things all the time; feeling respected and valued by Barnard's staff. I vlunteer with 5 separate rganisatins. Barnard's is by far the best in terms f training and supprt. Feeling yu have enabled the children t have a psitive and happy experience and that their family has been given an pprtunity t spend time with their ther children r take sme time fr themselves. I am welcmed and treated like ne f the team, included in all activities and given feedback regularly which has bsted my cnfidence in childcare. I have gained valuable experience that I can transfer int my ther rles f teaching, assessing and healthcare. I cannt begin t express my gratitude fr the pprtunity vlunteering with Barnard s has given me. It has bsted my cnfidence and self-esteem t the extent that I nw feel ready fr paid emplyment. 1.
