Yur jb is t, with imaginatin and creativity, drive the psitive agenda fr this vital technlgy that cuts thrugh t the British public. With all earned and native channels in yur arsenal such as practive PR, paid media partnerships, and digital and scial cntent yu are respnsible fr ensuring that psitive stries and infrmatin abut smart meters appear frequently in the channels peple cnsume and in the language and style they recgnise and is mst cmpelling t them. T d this effectively, yu must maintain extremely clse and integrated relatinships with the Directr f Marketing (wh is respnsible fr ur brand and advertising activity as well marketing partnerships with rganisatins such as charities) and the Directr f Crprate Affairs (wh is respnsible fr ur rapid respnse and rebuttals t negative media as well as cmmunicatins with public plicy & stakehlder audiences). Key tasks / respnsibilities Prduce and deliver the annual PR and digital media plan, which frms an imprtant part f the rganisatin s annual business plan, t meet rganisatinal KPIs as defined in the perfrmance management framewrk Cntribute t the develpment f the rganisatinal business plan and in particular the develpment f KPIs relating t PR and digital activity Ensure that PR and digital cntent budgets are created and managed and stand up t high degrees f scrutiny fr effectiveness and value fr mney Prvide leadership t the PR and digital functins and line management t the respective heads f thse departments, ensuring that they deliver expected results and that the rganisatin delivers a rewarding and exciting wrk envirnment and experience fr the clleagues in thse teams Build relatinships with media wners and editrial staff t better understand cntent that they might carry and grw the calitin f receptive media utlets fr ur cntent Prvide leadership and management t the retained PR agency and digital functins f the advertising and media agencies Wrk with the Head f Insight t ensure that all practive activity is prperly infrmed, pre-tested where apprpriate, and tracked fr evaluatins and effectiveness Advcate effectively fr the PR and digital media plans and activity, directly senir stakehlders and nn-executive directrs as required and by supprting the Chief Marketing Officer, the Chief Executive and the Chair in their advcacy fr these activities Wrk clsely with the Directr f Marketing t cntribute t agreed marketing framewrks and then ensure that all PR and digital cntent is aligned with agreed marketing framewrks and that claims are accurate and apprpriately substantiated Smart Metering Cmmunicatins Bdy Limited (trading as Smart Energy GB) is a cmpany registered in England and Wales. 6 Wrk clsely with the Directr f Crprate Affairs t ensure that practive and reactive media teams are wrking seamlessly and nimbly, that there is a jined up apprach t managing key media cntacts, and that public psitins and lines are agreed and enfrced Instil a culture f cntinuus ptimisatin and imprvement in yur teams and agencies and ensure that all wrk meets the very highest standards f quality Be a full member f the Senir Leadership Team and cntribute psitively and practively t the brader management f the rganisatin and its marketing and cmmunicatins activity.
