General Summary of Function/Purpose of Position Provide assistance in all Classifications/Selection areas for the Quality of Life (QOL) Human Resources (HR) office. This position will maintain databases, organize records, research job specifications to recommend proper classifications, complete exam plans in NEOGOV, assist with posting vacancies, pull recall and transfer lists to attach to NEOGOV requisitions and assist with other Classification/Selection concerns. This position will also act as the QOL HR receptionist and will assist other QOL HR sections as needed. Page 1

The total percentage of all duties performed must equal 100 percent. Duty 1 General Summary of Duty 1 % of Time 75 Provide assistance to Classification/Selections area. Individual tasks related to the duty. Compare position descriptions with those in FILENET before posting. Upload position descriptions in PARIS. File and organize Classification/Selection records. Pull recall lists from ISO/HRMN with appropriate classification, union code and county code and attach in NEOGOV. Pull transfer lists from MEWTS and attach in NEOGOV. Assist with mailing of conditional offer materials (conditional letter, drug test form, background check form, etc.). Log specialist actions in to Specialist database. Draft NEOGOV postings. Archive NEOGOV Exam Plans. Create and maintain senior standard listing. Review updates to job specifications to be sure they are captured and on current postings. Answer phone calls from applicants regarding job posting status in NEOGOV. Answer phone calls and transfer to appropriate staff for all of QOL HR and answer inquiries from the general public. Schedule reoccurring meetings for all of QOL HR sections. Duty 2 General Summary of Duty 2 % of Time 15 Provide assistance with special projects as needed. Individual tasks related to the duty. Provide assistance with position coding updates. Assist with updates to Classifications/Selections SharePoint site Assist with SIGMA clean-up (department codes, supervisor code correction, etc.) Assist with updating materials for Summer Youth Employment Program and Career Fairs. Assist with other special projects as needed. Page 2

3 Duty 3 General Summary of Duty 3 % of Time 10 Provide assistance to other Human Resources (HR) sections as needed. Individual tasks related to the duty. Scan documents into Records Manager for QOL HR as needed. Assist with large copy jobs for all QOL HR sections (i.e. supervisor training, career fairs, etc.) Provide assistance to the Payroll unit in payroll processing. Prepare materials for New Employee Orientation (NEO). Provide assistance with other tasks in HR as needed. Contact vendors for maintenance on disabled equipment such as copier, fax, scanners, phones, etc. Process mail for QOL HR 16. What is the function of the work area and how does this position fit into that function? QOL Human Resources provides all HR related service to Departments of Environmental Quality, Natural Resources, and Agriculture and Rural Development. 26. What are the minimum education and experience qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of this position? EDUCATION: Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution. EXPERIENCE: No specific type or amount is required. Experience: The student must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution.
