Abut the Grup The Services Grup is respnsible fr prviding a range f functins and services t enable business grups t achieve their utcmes. These functins include Finance, Prperty, Security, Prcurement and Infrmatin Management. Each f these divisins prvides a client fcused, crdinated service t Wellingtn and ff-shre psts. Abut the Divisin The Finance Divisin s primary respnsibilities are managing finance related activities fr the Ministry and prviding quality financial infrmatin and advice t stakehlders and budget hlders t infrm effective decisin making and use f resurces. It is als delivers financial systems, prcesses and tls t supprt financial transactins, meet business infrmatin needs and help ensure the Ministry cmplies with legal and ther external financial bligatins. Abut the Psitin The purpse f this psitin is t prvide analysis services(technical and business) fr apprpriate financial data management standards, dcumentatin and prcesses, prviding training and advice and participating in FMIS develpment, data analysis and prject wrk. The rle will liaise with key prject stakehlders and ensure that the interests f the Ministry are prtected at all times. The rle will be respnsible fr a range f business analyst tasks that are required at the varius stages f the SLDC fr FIN Business Systems. The fllwing key accuntabilities f this rle assist in delivering the Ministry s purpse. Rle specific Cmplete prblem analysis and slutin success criteria. High level and detailed requirements gathering with full requirements tracebility. Wrk with the prject members, stakehlders & vendrs t analyse the high level slutin ptins and prvide recmmendatins. Get agreement n requirements with key stakehlders such as Business Owners, Prject Spnsrs, via ne-n-ne sessins and wrkshp facilitatin MFAT In Cnfidence Page 2 f 6

3 Write and/facilitate updates t FIN Business System and Prcesses dcumentatin Undertake business change impact analysis and prcess change. Draft Business cases and ensure feedback frm relevant parties is included. Identify technical dependencies acrss multiple prtflis Cntribute t the prcesses, tls and templates t ensure efficiency and effectiveness f the FIN business Systems and Prcesses capability within the Ministry is cntinually imprved. Management Reprting Develp and implement management reprts that are relevant t the business grups, user friendly and easily understd by budget hlders and decisin makers Perfrm cmplex data analysis and deliver queries per internal business requests and t prvide audit supprt.
