Our activities in Thailand started in 1968 with the pening f a trading ffice in Bangkk. Over the years we cntinued t invest in Thailand t grw ur business. Tday ur peratins cmprise the riginatin, surcing, prcessing, handling, distributin and marketing f a wide range f prducts including agricultural cmmdities, animal feed, cked pultry, fd, as well as fd and beverage ingredients. We have 11 facility lcatins thrughut Thailand and emply ver 14,000 peple. Our Business Scpe Animal Nutritin We serve ver 400 dealers and direct farm custmers with 200 different kinds f high-quality custmized animal nutritin slutins fr swine, aquaculture and pultry. We wn and perate five feed mills in the prvinces f Chacheangsa, Nakrnpathm, Nakrnratchasima, Phitsanulk and a shrimp feed mill in Petchaburi with fur warehuses in PangNga, NakrnSriTammarat, Satn and NakrnRatchaSrima. Cked Pultry Prducts We have been in the Thai pultry industry fr mre than 25 years, and tday we perate a fully integrated pultry prcessing business acrss 14 lcatins, emplying mre than 13,500 peple. One f the cuntry s tp exprters, we prduce a wide range f fully cked, frzen chicken prducts, mre than 80 percent f which are shipped t Japan, Hng Kng, Eurpe and Canada. In Thailand, we have in ur supply chain feed mills, hatcheries, farms, and prcessing plants. We als have dedicated facilities t ensure the quality and safety standards f ur prducts including ne pultry health center, R&D center, and central fd safety lab. In late 2016, we annunced a $50 millin expansin f ur peratins t help us cntinue t meet grwing demand fr ur prducts. Grain and Oilseeds We leverage ur strng capabilities in riginatin, lgistics and distributin t prvide t ur custmers grain, ilseeds as well as vegetable ils fr use in fd and animal feed prductin. We als riginate crn frm Thailand fr exprt t Suth East Asia. T supprt ur supply chain activities, we perate a grain and ilseed strage facility in Ayudhaya prvince. Fd and Beverage Ingredients Texturizing Slutins We serve the Thai fd and beverage industry with specific slutins fr imprving the stability, texture, cnsistency and shelf life f their prducts. Our wide prtfli f texturizing ingredients includes hydrcllids, functinal systems, lecithins, starches and health& nutritin. Page 1

2 Sugar Our sugar jint venture, Alvean, is ne the largest buyers f Thai sugar that is destined fr exprt markets. They surce raw sugar as well refined and white sugar t supply custmers thrughut Asia as well as the Middle East and Africa. Tshku Tshku surces and markets Thai fd prducts t Japan-based and ther glbal custmers. In Thailand, ur majr surcing categries fr fd ingredients and cmmdities cmprise prcessed fd, fd materials as well as fd engineering. Sustainability: A Gd Crprate Citizen We are striving t be a gd crprate citizen f Thailand. Our businesses and peple are actively engaged in giving back t the cmmunities where we live, wrk and d business. Our crprate respnsibility prjects help t address a range f ecnmic and scial challenges in Thailand s rural areas and include: Building Hmes with Habitat fr Humanity In partnership with Habitat with Humanity, we started building hmes in Our emplyees vlunteer their time and skills fr all building prjects. T date, we have built fr ver 134 huses. We cntinue t build hmes fr Thai families. Cargill Cares Schl Lunch Since 2014, Cargill Cares Schl Lunch Prgram delivers a healthy prtein lunch every day t mre than 1,000 students in cmmunities. 400,000 meals have been yearly prvided fr children s better nutritin. Prviding Clean Drinking Water fr Schl Children We are prviding annually the clean drinking water system prject t the cmmunity thrugh Cargill Cares. Purpse fr teacher, students and villagers can access daily f clean & safe water instead f rain water r cement tank water which many children in rural Thailand have n much chice t avid prly treated water at their schls. We installed water filter system fr 100 units accumulate 8 years frm 2008/ /16 (last year 15 units) t the schls nearby ur lcatins, benefit ver 60,000 peple wh have healthier and better-living within 8 years. Helping Tapica Farmers Prsper We made a wide-ranging cmmitment t Mahasarakham prvince t imprve lcal tapica cultivatin. We launched a multi-tiered prgram cmprising demnstratin farms, agrnmics services t imprve yields. By using the imprved hybrids and fllwing better agrnmic practices, lcal farmers were able t increase yields per rai by 50 t 200 percent and in the prcess significantly increased their incmes derived frm tapica farming. Enriching Lcal Cmmunities We help t prmte cmmunity develpment, fster educatin, and imprve nutritin. Our activities include: Page 2

Establishing cmmunity's libraries fr lifelng learning f everyne in cmmunities Building libraries and playgrunds, as well as prviding schl supplies, including bks, statineries and sprts equipment fr needful lcal schls. Prviding supprt t lcal rphanages, as well as hmes fr the elderly Supprting the Sustainable Lunch Prgram, bth financially and in kind, with animal feed fr fish and chickens raised as part f the prgram Helping t maintain lcal infrastructure including dredging canals, renvating bus shelters, cmmunity halls and sprts facilities 50,000 farmers per year are trained fr animal nutritin knwledge. Wheel Chairs Assembly. Since 2015, Cargill has assembled 46 wheelchairs during ur varius meetings and dnated t Thai less pprtunity handicaps at the end f the day thrugh the Thai with Disability Fundatin in Thailand. Many recipients culd nt affrd such a basic necessity and they were hme bund. The gift was life changing t them. Cargill Smart Greenhuse Our in-plant renewable meln farm is served as knwledge sharing in sustainable agricultural practice fr cmmunity. Building the greenhuse mdels, mre than 500 students in 3 schls and 1 cllege can have fd safe lunch. Recent Investments 2017 Cargill acquired a feed mill in Prachinburi prvince in Thailand in rder t expand its capabilities fr its animal feed and nutritin business. Thrugh the acquisitin, the plant will nw prduce pultry and swine feed fr Cargill s custmers based in Thailand. Cargill plans t start prductin in a year at its new plant which will hld 50 emplyees and prduce 72,000 MT per year fr swine and pultry custmers in the Eastern and Nrtheastern areas f Thailand In Octber, we invested $50 millin t expand ur pultry prcessing peratins at its facility lcated in the Nakhn Ratchasima. The expansin will create 1,400 new jbs and add t the mre than 13,500 emplyees that the cmpany currently emplys acrss 14 lcatins in the cuntry. Cargill will engage several independent smallhlder briler farms in the lcal cmmunity t meet the increase demand in briler chicken In August, we established the Breeder 13, ur latest best-in-class pultry farm which is ur latest innvative and ec-friendly pultry farm f Cargill Meats Thailand lcated in Si Thep District, Phetchabun In August, we acquired Siamakme, a shrimp feed manufacturing plant lcated in Petchaburi. This is Cargill s first aqua feed plant lcated in Asia. Page 3

4 2011 In Octber, NatureWrks, a whlly wned business f Cargill frmed a jint venture with leading Thai cmpany PPT Chemical. The JV prduces biplastics frm crn and sugar In June, the expansin f ur integrated pultry prcessing peratins in Krat was annunced. The expansin, at an additinal investment f THB 3,300 millin (USD 110 millin), cmprises a primary prcessing plant, an expansin f the existing hatchery, new breeder farms and a pultry feed mill.
