The Academy was frmed 5 years ag merging tw lcal cmmunity schls nt a single site and jined Astrea Academy Trust in April Students and staff benefit frm wrking in a mdern 35m PFI building with fantastic facilities. Outcmes at the Academy have previusly suffered as a result f bringing tw very different schls tgether but lk strnger mving frwards. This is an exciting pprtunity fr a high perfrming Netwrk Manager t deliver an IT prvisin that enhances the curriculum and pprtunities fr learning. PURPOSE OF THE POST Respnsible fr prviding a technical lead and ensuring the effective and efficient supprt and deplyment f ICT related equipment and resurces t ensure a rbust and efficient service. Leading, managing and develping the netwrk and preparing fr the mve t internally managed netwrk. Duties and Respnsibilities: Installing, managing and ensuring the maintenance f aspects f the ICT hardware infrastructure requirements f the schl, including OS, and Server sftware installatin. Cnfiguring user and access rights and the practive mnitring f system use and abuse. Wrking t develp an effective and resilient LAN as well as cntributing t the cnstructin management and cnfiguratin f the WAN we are develping with ur cnsultants. Wrking t design, develp, manage and mnitr prcesses and prcedures t ensure effective and efficient management and deplyment f system cnfiguratin and change within the schl including, installatin and new and upgrades t sftware and hardware. Manage and mnitr lgging infrmatin systems t prduce summary reprts and recmmend curses f actin which enhance the use and effectiveness f ICT systems. Ensure that data is secure and that prtcls are adhered t ensure backup and disaster recvery is rbust Prduce regular, timely and accurate system mnitring reprts t all relevant stakehlders. Cntribute t the identificatin, management and implementatin f suitable hardware and sftware slutins. 6

Wrking with the senir leadership team t recmmend hw the annual ICT budget is spent t ensure a rlling cycle f replacement and upgrading f ICT hardware and sftware. Ensuring cmpliance with any relevant health and safety legislatin. Cntribute t the design, develpment and implementatin f wrking practices and prcedures that enhance the impact f ICT services in the efficient delivery f management infrmatin and supprts the learning and teaching with academies. Having due regard fr safeguarding and prmting the welfare f children and yung peple and t fllw the child prtectin prcedure adpted by the Trust. Demnstrating an active cmmitment t n-ging prfessinal develpment. Undertaking any duties, cnsistent with this psitin, which might, frm time-t-time, be assigned by the Principal. Supprt fr the Academy Be aware f and cmply with plicies and prcedures relating t child prtectin, health, safety and security, cnfidentiality and data prtectin, reprting all cncerns t an apprpriate persn.
