2 Job description Job title: Management Information Analyst Grade: 4 Division: Reporting to: Main contacts: Strategy and Professional Standards Management Information and Reporting Manager Internal: MI and Reporting Manager, MI and Reporting Analyst Support, Strategy and Professional Standards Division, all other AAT Divisions xternal: Student, affiliate, associate, full and fellow members, employers, training providers Major objectives To contribute to the achievement of AAT s business plan objectives and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by: Provide strategic insights to inform the development of AAT products and services Assisting the Management Information and Reporting Manager in monitoring the performance of all business functions against the business plan targets and KPIs Drawing together business performance information from across the organisation and assisting in the production of regular reports and the monthly performance pack Contributing to the achievement of specified objectives and targets relating to the work of the Business Planning and Management Information function. Responsibilities Strategic insight and reporting Coordinate the pulling together of information from all areas of AAT in relation to performance against business plan targets and KPIs. Support the Management Information and Reporting Manager in the summary of business performance through regular reporting. Analyse data collected in order to help inform business decisions, project development and product improvement. Monitor stakeholder activity in relation to engagement with AAT in order to help in identifying where intervention could influence behaviours and enhance the perceived value of relationships with AAT. 3 Assist in the development of AAT s Data Strategy. To assist in the compilation of the monthly performance pack and data warehouse report. Management information As part of the Business Planning and Management Information function, provide support to internal teams to understand their reporting needs, identify solutions and assist the Management Information and Reporting Analyst in improving teams reporting capabilities. To communicate ideas for the development and further streamlining of processes and procedures in relation to the remit of the Business Planning and Management Information function. To contribute to the delivery against KPIs established for the Business Planning and Management Information function. Communication Coordinate the communication of relevant information and insight to all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge Microsoft packages Word, and strong technical skills in xcel Use of via outlook Use of internet Database/CRM system, Microsoft CRM Dynamics Use of advanced find functionality Understanding of statistics and business trend analysis SQL familiar with Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Server Agent and query optimisation SSRS creating, deploying and maintaining reports using Reporting Services Skills Good verbal and written communication Confident ability to interpret findings and present insights to internal audiences Good listening skills Strong team working, able to work with various internal teams to achieve objectives Commitment to continuous improvement; willing to proactively make suggestions on potential developments xperience xperience in analytics, statistics, mathematics or similar Working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks Administration experience Usage of databases Customer segmentation and/or predictive modelling Analysing data in relational databases through SQL or similar query tools and confidence writing complex SQL queries that can interrogate, reconcile and validate data from multiple sources Demonstrable experience creating, deploying and maintaining reports using Reporting Services ducation A level or equivalent, containing numeracy / analytics Aptitude Natural intellectual curiosity, creative in analytical approach with a good instinct for business Capable of working without supervision, to provide insight and help to develop the reporting capabilities of the business Numerate, logical, organised, flexible and a creative approach to problem solving Drive, determination, confidence, enthusiasm and a willingness to propose alternatives to established approaches Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise and work effectively under pressure Customer centricity strong customer focus both internal and external D D AAT is a registered charity.
