Revised Contract: $1,089,000 Contract Start: May 11, 2009 Contract Completion: October 5, 2009 Scope: The Fontana Phase III Parking Lot project consists of the construction a new parking lot, landscaping, driveway/fire lanes, walkways, utilities, lighting, and signage at the Fontana Campus. Status: Pre-Construction meetings will be held on May 7, Construction is scheduled to commence after finals are complete on May 20, 2009 and work through the summer. 3 Projects under Construction Visual and Performing Arts Complex/Music Building Architect: Hammel, Green & Abrahamson, Inc. Original Contract: $22,145,000 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $871,678 Contractor: ProWest Constructors Revised Contract: $23,016,678 Contract Start: February 2008 Contract Completion: - Bldg. B & C- Ceramic Lab/Art Studio Summer Bldg. F Art Complex August 22, Bldg. E- Music Building June 7, 2009 Scope: This project is comprised of four buildings two new buildings and two buildings that will be renovated. The Performing Arts building, the main building, will be a threestory structure. Including an art complex, digital media labs, photo studio, dance studio, and post-production lab, art studio, audio lab, interior design lab, lecture rooms, and faculty offices, this structure will be 46,000 sq. ft. Additionally, there will be a 5,500 sq. ft. one-story music rehearsal building constructed. This will include instrumental and choral rooms. The two existing buildings will be renovated and modernized into a Ceramics lab and Fashion Art Studio. Status: At the Performing Arts Building, ProWest Constructors has poured the upper level slab and the mechanical equipment pads. The installation of the roof structural steel is complete. Interior framing and installation of electrical, plumbing and HVAC has begun in the lower level and main level. Interior framing at the upper level has begun. Drywall installation has begun at the lower level. Exterior scaffolding has been erected at the Performing Arts Building, and exterior framing has begun. At the Music Building, the installation of plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler and HVAC systems is ongoing. The 1. Exterior rendering of the main building. 2. ProWest Constructors has started installing acoustical ceiling tiles in the existing Ceramics building and Fashion Arts Studio and continue to install electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire sprinkler systems. 4 Projects under Construction Physical Education Athletics-New Gymnasium Architect: NTD Architecture Original Contract: $8,560,543 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $17,527 Contractor: Edge Development, Inc. Revised Contract: $8,578,070 Contract Start: September 29, 2008 Contract Completion: December 23, 2009 Scope: This project consists of a new 22,000 sq. ft. gymnasium. It will include locker rooms and a snack bar. Status: At the New Gymnasium, EDGE Development, Inc. is continuing installation of the masonry block up to the high roof. Installation of embeds were installed concurrently along the north and south walls. Underpinning at the new elevator on the north/ west end of the existing gym has been completed. Following this activity, rebar was set and concrete was poured for the elevator tower footings and masonry block installation for the elevator tower being set. The interior building activities consisted of the plumber installing trench drains and water closet carriers. 1. Exterior rendering of the building. 2. 5 Projects under Construction Library Lawn/Fontana Phase II Landscaping Architect: Steve Frenken Landscape Architecture Original Contract: $385,000 Construction Manager: Bernards Approved Change Orders: $0 Contractor: Land Forms Landscape Construction Revised Contract: $385,000 Contract Start: August 20, 2008 Contract Completion: November 25, 2008 Scope: This project consists of landscaping and creating the irrigation system for the Fontana Campus Phase II project and the library lawn area at the Rancho Cucamonga campus. Status: The project is in the maintenance period at both sites with the grass beginning to appear healthy and close to being mowed and then ready for turn over and acceptance by the Grounds Department. Land Forms Landscape Construction is continuing to maintain both sites with watering, weed removal, and cleaning. 1. Landscaping at the Fontana Campus. 2. Landscaping at the Fontana Campus. 3.
