1 AoC Sport is the lead membership organisation for college sport and physical activity and is an Association of Colleges (AoC) subsidiary company. AoC Sport encourages and supports every student to participate in sport and physical activity as an integrated part of their college experience. Offering a range of specialist advice, training and events, AoC Sport champions a whole-organisation, cross-curricular approach to physical activity, which results in dynamic college communities, healthy students and an economic boost to the bottom line. AoC Sport was formed following the merger of British Colleges Sport (BCS), the nglish Colleges Football Association (CFA) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) sport policy team in August The CFA brand was retained and now represents AoC Sport s football delivery arm as part of the long-term successful partnership with The Football Association. JOB SCRIPTION Marketing and Communications Officer (AoC Sport) Job Purpose: To manage and develop internal and external marketing and communications for AoC Sport, producing high quality resources, publications and content, which promote the benefits of college sport and physical activity and the work of the organisation epartment/ irectorate AoC Sport Reports To Managing irector, AoC Sport Indirectly reports to Head of Communications People Management Monetary Responsibility irect Reports: none Indirect Reports: none Budget: communications and marketing budget Risk Management: risk in errors in content of external publications 1 P a g e Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer (AoC Sport)

2 xternal Key Contacts Internal Key Contacts Leisure trade press and publications Sport ngland National Governing Bodies of Sport and other national sport organisations (in relation to their publications / comms officers) AoC Sport staff All AoC depts., in particular the AoC Comms team and the Public Affairs department. Also regular liaison with marketing and sponsorship team within AoC Create. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: 1. Produce and manage the implementation of an annual marketing and communications plan for AoC Sport, which in turn will feed into AoC Sport s annual operational business plan. Consult with the AoC Comms team and ensure that the AoC Sport plan compliments wider AoC comms objectives. 2. Work with colleagues across AoC, colleges and external partners to identify opportunities to promote both the work of the organisation and college sport and physical activity. 3. esign and implement regular sport communications and updates to members and other key stakeholders, including fortnightly e-newsletters, weekly policy briefings, ad hoc Facebook and LinkedIn posts, and daily Tweeter and Instagram content. 4. nsure sport communications are consistent in tone of voice and messaging, and adhere to AoC and AoC Sport brand guidelines. 5. Promote all AoC Sport events and services, using existing and new promotional materials to ensure a high quality, professional look and feel. 6. Manage the production of key AoC Sport publications, including the annual impact report and Sport Key Facts and contribute to generic AoC publications as required. 7. Undertake in-house design work and layout jobs, and outsource more complex design jobs to external agencies, as required. Manage these projects, including budget management, and liaise with printers and designers. 8. Write, edit and proofread articles, briefings, reports and other copy, as required. 9. evelop appropriate documents, reports and methods of disseminating 2 P a g e Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer (AoC Sport)

3 research relating to sports development. 10. ngage with the AoC Comms team through attendance at team meetings, regular dialogue with individuals in the team and gaining approvals for major communications. 11. Maintain all sections of the AoC Sport website and AoC Sport National Championships website, and manage the content of the sport pages of the AoC website, delegating website administration to the appropriate administrative officer. 12. Liaise with the Sport ngland F team and other funding partners regarding all communications to colleges, especially with regards to the promotion of Sport ngland funded projects.
