1 SAFETY & SECURITY COORDINATOR Summary: Reprting t the Operatins Manager, this psitin is respnsible fr develping, implementing, crdinating and maintaining health, safety and security prgrams fr the Phantm rganizatin. By ptimizing ur cmmitment t prmte the health and wellbeing f ur emplyees, we are able t deliver the Phantm Experience t ur custmers with reduced risk f supply interruptin and minimized csts. The Safety & Security Crdinatr prvides a cnsistent representatin f Phantm's strategic and tactical gals and plays a key rle in maintaining a psitive, mtivated and cperative wrk envirnment. The incumbent cnsistently demnstrates, and encurages in thers, the rganizatin's cred crprate values. Reprting Structure: Other psitins reprting t the Operatins Manager are thse f Supply Chain Manager; Operatins Crdinatr; Prductin Supervisr; Maintenance Team Lead; Maintenance Technician. There are n subrdinates reprting directly t the rle f Safety & Security Crdinatr. Psitin Respnsibilities: (Include, but are nt limited t, the fllwing) General Recmmend physical requirements fr jb descriptins Participate in jb-related training prgrams r assciated persnal develpment initiatives Prmte a psitive, custmer fcused, cperative safe wrk envirnment by leading by example. Assist the Operatins team by perfrming ther duties as assigned. Safety General Knwledge: Maintain knwledge f the applicable parts f Federal and Prvincial Legislatin, including: Hazardus Prducts Act and Cntrlled Prducts Regulatins BC Wrkers Cmpensatin Act (WCA), and Occupatinal Health and Safety (OH&S) Regulatin Determine, acquire and maintain knwledge n applicable standards referenced in the Regulatin Knwledge f the Phantm Emplyee Manual (Crprate Overview, Emplyment Plicies, Emplyee Benefits and Entitlements, Health Safety and Wellbeing, Security, ) Safety Prgram: Cntinue t develp, implement, crdinate and maintain the OH&S prgram specific t Phantm lcatins. This cnsists f: OH&S Plicy Annually review the written safety plicy fr adequacy Make all emplyees aware f the plicy and its imprtance Regular Inspectin Develp and maintain wrkplace inspectin checklist(s) Lead, with apprpriate peple: i. Regular, planned wrkplace inspectins, ii. Equipment specific inspectins, and iii. Special inspectins as required

2 Ensure identificatin, priritizatin and assignment f safety actin items Investigate unsafe cnditins t ensure that crrective actin is taken withut delay Written Instructin: Develp and maintain written, safe wrk instructins. These include: Thse required by the OH&S regulatin, General safe wrk practices, and Phantm-specific tl and equipment Safety, Operatin, and Lck-ut instructins Review/input n (prductin & shipping) wrk instructins frm a safety perspective. Safety Management Meetings: Prepare weekly summary f past and present activities fr Ops "Tuch Base" Meeting Present mnthly reprt fr Operatins Manager. Summarize Safety Key Perfrmance Indicatrs (KPIs) Summarize Safety Activities Cnduct annual meeting with the Leadership Team Develp agenda, including required input / participatin Chair the annual safety review meeting Cmmunicate resultant discussin, cntent and actin items Imprve value received frm regular safety related meetings Incident Investigatins: Lead incident investigatin team Prepare incident investigatin reprt, including crrective actins Submit apprved reprt t the Wrkers' Cmpensatin Bard f BC (WCB) Cntinually imprve investigatin prcess Recrds and Statistics: Frward t Human Resurces: safety recrds such as wrkplace incident investigatins, training recrds, hearing tests results, Maintain recrds f safety drills, sub-cntractr qualificatins/clearance Prepare de-persnalized (fr privacy) cpies when necessary In cllabratin with the Human Resurces Manager, prepare injury summary and trends Prepare safety related statistics fr the purpse f imprving the Safety Prgram Safety (Instructin and Supervisin): Identify safety related instructinal and supervisry requirements Prepare, deliver, and crdinate safety related educatin including: New Hire Safety Orientatin Safety Tlbx Tpics Lectures, discussins, vides, and internal training sessins External seminars / wrkshps (Ex: EAO Educatinal Seminars) Prepare, deliver, and crdinate safety related training including: Hands-n, jb specific instructin in grups r individually Demnstratin, active wrker participatin, and testing/validatin Enfrce safety rules and safe wrk prcedures. Prvide safety-related bservatins / expertise t the apprpriate supervisr/manager. Prvide health and safety expertise where discipline r cunsel may be required. Peridically review / audit dcumentatin t ensure training requirements have been met.

3 Specific safety respnsibilities include: New Hire Orientatin: Prvide tur f facility frm a safety perspective Train n general, safety wrk practices Supplier / Sub-cntractr Orientatin / Qualificatin: Develp and deliver rientatins and training n specific safety requirements (ex: Emergency Respnse) t suppliers wh perfrm wrk in/at ur facilities (ex: vendr managed inventry) Ensure suppliers and sub-cntractrs have apprpriate WCB cverage prir t cmmencing wrk in/at ur facilities Safety Cmmittee: Participate in the Jint Occupatinal Health and Safety Cmmittee as an Emplyer Representative Administer safety cmmittee electins as required Prepare and distribute meeting agenda and subsequent minutes Ensure rles and respnsibilities f cmmittee members are carried ut Cmmunicate recmmendatins frm the cmmittee t management Administer and update all safety related actin items Risk Assessments: Perfrm (required and requested) risk assessments and evaluatins n existing, revised, and new prcesses Make practicable recmmendatins t eliminate, minimize, and cntrl hazards Mnitr / evaluate cntrl measures: Emergency Preparedness and Respnse Plan Develp / revise cntent Prvide training, including crdinatin f drill(s) Play an active rle during emergency respnse Wrkplace Hazardus Materials Infrmatin System (WHMIS): Develp / revise cntent specific t the wrkplace with the invlvement f the safety cmmittee Ensure prper labelling/identificatin Prvide educatin and training Maintain and make available recrds, including Material Safety Data Sheets(MSDS) Persnal Prtective Equipment (PPE): Determine when PPE is required as a cntrl measure Ensure apprpriate PPE is specified, purchased and made readily available Ensure PPE is prperly used, including training and fit testing Perfrm (infrmal and frmal) internal audits t ensure cmpliance Nise cntrl and Hearing Cnservatin Prgram: Develp and implement an effective prgram Manage hearing tests (scheduling, results, recrd-keeping)

4 First Aid As advised by the Human Resurces Manager, Crdinate First Aid training / certificatin In cllabratin with the Human Resurces Manager and the First Aid Attendants, ensure adequate cverage at all times In cllabratin with the First Aid Attendants, make prvisins fr transprt f injured wrker(s) Claims Management Advise Human Resurces Manager f supprting infrmatin pertinent t the Emplyers Injury Reprt t ensure evidence is submitted t WrkSafe t minimize assciated claim csts Assist Human Resurces with claims (decisins, review, appeal), Return-T-Wrk and /r Vcatinal Rehabilitatin Utilize the Emplyers Advisrs Office fr assistance Internal Safety Audit Establish internal audit prcedure, frms, and recrd management Cnduct peridic audits t determine level f cmpliance t WCA, OH&S Reg., and internal requirements Prepare and present audit findings, including required crrective actins Safety Budget Prepare annual ccupatinal health and safety budget (excluding First Aid Rm supplies and FAA training csts) Mnitr and reprt n budget variance Alng with the Operatins Manager, represent the emplyer during interactins (crrespndence, site inspectins, etc ) with WrkSafe BC Officers.
