3 KEY TASKS Csting Mdel Administratin EXPECTED OUTCOMES The csting system mnthly prcess is run and cmpleted n time All csts and activity are crrectly mapped Audit reprts are run and data quality validated Any errrs are identified and crrected r escalated t the area f respnsibility such as finance, clinical analysts, services r data teams. Csts are tracked thugh and recnciled frm the general ledger t cst prducts and any majr changes validated. Year-end rll-ver Csts and activity are audited and checked prir t clse ff f the previus year and any issues are identified and crrected. Cst reprting and analysis Cst structures fr the new year are set up and ready t receive the first data in a timely manner. The indirect allcatin structure is updated t the new general ledger structure. In cnjunctin with the csting team and finance team, cst structures are reviewed and maintained n an nging basis. In cnjunctin with the Senir Csting Analyst ensure that: Cst reprts available fr the business Cst analysis services prvided t the business Cst data is used t identify pprtunities fr perfrmance imprvement with the clinical services Perfrmance imprvement initiatives within the clinical services are supprted with analysis f csts and cst drivers. The Natinal Cst Cllectin extract is run and the recnciliatin template cmpleted Training and educatin As part f the csting team, prmte the use f cst data t supprt decisin making within the DHB Supprt Senir Csting Analyst t design and deliver training material n csting, cunting and pricing t managers, finance staff, clinicians and analysts Data quality Identify data quality issues and wrk with the csting analyst, Health Infrmatin Grup and Data Warehuse team t get them reslved.
